I looked for an explanation of the new V shape and circle.
im surprised that the V has black and brown stripes which represent ‘people of colour’, but no white stripe.
to me this suggests that the flag is designed by white people..who are graciously including ‘people of colour’ as being allowed in the gang.

Because the new one is harder to make certain dubious symbols out of when you have four flags and arrange them in a certain way.

Yes, quite right. It's implying that the 'rainbow' as was was exclusively for white people. Which is nonsensical bullshit. It's like a head pat, really, 'we'll give you your very own stripe', while implying whiteness remains the larger part of the flag. Good spot.

The intersex symbol was added to the progress flag by an intersex designer.

Not sure why everyone is calling this new, it’s been around for ages.

It’s really small on my screen and I read ‘intersex’ as ‘intense people’ and things are so bonkers these days I just went with it.

A bit more of the 'yes a lot of the community don't agree or want the political stuff being pushed on them, or agree that they share in that representation rather than find it unhelpful/offensive, but I'm still gonna do it anyway and claim it represents everyone' thing, like lesbians deal with. Which again makes it a flag of a political group with their politics in common and not a flag representative of those communities since they just ignore and exclude the members not politically compliant.

Disability pride flag can't seem to reach a universal agreed standard.
