Mask off. And replies off as well.

"If you can, support @tigergirl_70 in her fight for an inclusive rugby game #MakeSportEveronesGame"

I've looked through the rugby guidelines and I can't see anything to say transwomen are not allowed to play with men. There is a suggestion of playing non-contact rugby.

Girls and boys are not allowed to play together in rugby union after U11., an RFU rule which I fully support as a parent of both a ds and a dd who play rugby. There have also been other rule changes to improve safety (tackle height will be lowered next season in all but top level rugby to reduce head injuries/ flip tackles) and a mandatory 21 day rest after concussions. I cannot see the RFU changing the rules to allow trans women to play women's rugby. It's completely inconsistent with the direction of travel re. safety/injury prevention.

Totally agree as the DM of two rugby-playing boys. Who the fuck is Nancy Kelly? Some bloke in a dress no doubt who doesn't care that women risk serious injury and death.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/05/2023 18:57

The only 2 reasons this group of male people wouldn't be allowed to compete against other males would be either because they have an unfair advantage, or there was a safety issue. I can't see how either of those would apply.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/05/2023 18:58

She's the head of Stonewall. An actual woman, sadly.

piedbeauty · 16/05/2023 19:00

Glad the RFU came to the right conclusion. It was close, though: 33 in favour, 26 against and 2 abstaining.

Stealing underwear is a non-contact sexual offence so he’s actually a sex offender, although we’re not allowed to call them that now for fear of hurting their feelings 🤯. Of course all there is to being a woman is dressing ‘sexily’. He can dress however he wants but he’s still a man and should definitely not be playing women’s rugby! I must be a lesbian in my jeans, hoodie and Vans, who knew!

Sadly unsurprising. These creepy, vile men always have a history of violating women's and girls' boundaries.

She's a proper woman? Well then she's a disgrace.

nilsmousehammer · 16/05/2023 19:30

Not quite sure what being a lesbian is supposed to signify though - (possibly Kelly can explain?) since regardless of how you dress or call yourself you still have to provide sex to straight men according to this lunatic fringe.

ArabeIIaScott · 16/05/2023 19:39

It's frilly pants, nils.

ResisterRex · 16/05/2023 20:03

That tweet is now up to 1.5M views. And just one comment.

It's almost like people don't support women being folded like deckchairs or something.

nilsmousehammer · 16/05/2023 21:33

ArabeIIaScott · 16/05/2023 19:39

It's frilly pants, nils.

I'm now totally confused (Kelly and Stonewall has had this effect on me for a while now)

the difference between a lesbian and a non lesbian is frilly pants?

Do they signify lesbian or not lesbian? (Both of whom have to do straight men but only one of which supposedly is in frilly pants?)

All these years homosexualling and no one's ever policed my pants.

ArabeIIaScott · 16/05/2023 21:45

Yes, nils.

'My wife hates wearing standard cotton hi-cuts and loves thongs and silky lacy underwear. Conversely, my ex-wife, loves the cotton hi-cuts and hates thongs, g-strings and lacy underwear. Go figure! My wife likes lace blouses, skirts and high heels, my ex tee-shirts, pants and flat shoes. I do suspect my ex is somewhat orientated to the lesbian side of the fence :-)!''

This is Julie's Pants Theory of Lesbianism.

ArabeIIaScott · 16/05/2023 21:46

So, to be clear - Julie likes thongs and lacy underwear, as does Julie's (I think now ex) second wife.

These are both not - oh hold on.

I've got confused.

nilsmousehammer · 16/05/2023 21:49

I can't make head nor....

so if you don't wear frilly lacy pants you're lesbian

but lesbians are presumably not attracted to people in frilly pants

Fuck, I've lesbianed totally wrong for going on four decades. And that's before all the not doing male people wrongness of me.

I'm surprised it was that close, goodness knows what the 26 were thinking.

rabbitwoman · 16/05/2023 21:52

I am heartened by the last two comments on the crowd funder to add to the comment already posted by a PP. Methinks this motion would be a massive own goal....

RealityFan · 16/05/2023 21:52

These guys must all compare notes with each other.

Thank God they don't want to share female spac...what, you mean they do?!

Helleofabore · 16/05/2023 21:55

Apparently any woman can be sorted into sexual orientation by their choice of undies. What happens when I change throughout the day?

I, personally, think this individual needs to have their blog posts published everywhere and allow this rugby player to speak at every opportunity. I suspect that they will have women climbing mountains of understanding all throughout the UK.

ArabeIIaScott · 16/05/2023 21:55

Yes, if you wear frilly lacy pants you are a lady. And if you like other people in frilly lacy pants you are a lesbian.

No, that's not it.

If you like sensible pants you are a lesbian. And if you like people in fancy pants you are a lady! I think that's it!

Helleofabore · 16/05/2023 21:59

I thought I read there is someone ‘fighting a similar ‘fight’ with the UK boxing body’ amongst the comments.

Anyone know about that? Shocking to think that someone fully believes that any male should box a female considering what we know about male punch power and the female brain structure with its hugely higher risk for damage.

Accent seems to have a bit of a twang, I don't think 'e's from round 'ere.

That film, the music🙄i couldn't tell what was human and what was armchair.

I had the same thought exactly.

This is all very useful, but not in the way intended.

It's flipped over into farcical comedy now.

Thanks Nancy, you are actually working for us now little do you realise!

Behold:

"The man demanding entry to the women’s rugby has a blog. This is one about his imagined steps to conduct a trans genocide. Other comments are deeply homophobic. Stonewall have excelled themselves supporting him"

I don't think I've ever seen a ratio like it.

Tiger 'girl' is 52. I have a background in competitive women's football - an entirely more gentle contact sport - where women over 40 are very rare and women over 50 are unicorns. If he wants the real women's rugby experience he's already well past retirement age.
