The victim is in no doubt of the sex of the person that raped her. I hope she didn't have to refer to "her" in court.

This morning's Metro did at least print a picture, but used she/her. It was genuinely revolting to read "her penis" in regard to a convincted nonce rapist. So insulting to survivors of male violence.

Let everyone see what this nonsense looks like in real life away from the lies and instagram filters and head tilts.

Im reading something about the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s at the moment and the anger driven political activism by gay men.

It started me thinking about the resignation with which women treat these shocking stories of rape, and murder - all actions of male violence. If men suffered this same kind of sex-based violence - where women are assaulted, raped, and murdered because of their sex - there’s be riots on the streets.

Jess Philips talks about the expectation that women give men a free pass on violence - she’s amazingly clear about it in a conversation with Matt Forde on “The Political Party” podcast. Worth a listen.

The story says he met the victim on Facebook and arranged to go round to play video games. It's not clear from that whether the victim believed they were meeting a female and when Crawford turned up felt obliged to let him in (being kind, perhaps).🙁

That's the rapist the defence is talking about BTW, not the victim. Beggars belief.😡.
