There's an interesting case going on with regard to a parent suing the ICO for not forcing SSE to give her details of their lesson plans as used in schoools.
I'm waiting for the cross examination on the playdough vulva (might have happened already - I'm catching up with the posts)

Horrifying, these poor young girls who can suffer incontinence...
You notice there is never a long lesson about the joys of cunnilingus or the pleasure of a full body massage as foreplay

It's almost like these boys are getting the impression they don't need to give a flying fuck about the pleasure of the woman.

Do any of these groups are going into school address the disgusting misogyny of porn?

Boiledbeetle · 03/05/2023 22:47

I don't see why we can't just go back to the science teacher doing it as part of biology lessons and then sticking on the video that I have vague recollections of.

This would make sense. It would probably weed out quite a lot of those whose primary objective is to talk to young people about sex.

ZeldaFighter · 04/05/2023 10:49

Am I wrong in thinking that these people have broken safeguarding laws???? Should someone have their collar felt???

QueenHippolyta · 04/05/2023 11:18

It's appalling! Why isn't anyone speaking up and writing about women's pleasure and stating that porn is for toxic losers.
They would be better off handing out old copies of 1970s ," The Joy of Sex"

Thanks for the links @Datun and @BettyFilous . I’ll have a read on my lunch break.

@AlisonDonut no, he’s not coercing me it’s just he thinks that because I have previous trauma around anal sex (rape) my viewpoint is skewed in personal bias but I don’t agree.

Many threads on mn where women have felt pressure from partners for anal sex. And one of the answers was, you first.

(obvs, not such a good riposte, if they're partial to it tho)

ResisterRex · 04/05/2023 21:41

Not only are minors being encouraged to become sex positive activists, celebrating sexual diversity (which is what?), but they're being told to discuss whether virginity is a damaging social construct:

Late to the thread but I had to smirk at 'bum link' 🤣

ZG: Do you accept Miss Padalia that it is possible, likely, that a child would find your site.

DP: Yes but mostly they don't, our analytics show, and children will be finding those sites anyway. Lots of research about that. Disingenuous to say our site is the only way.

Oh well, that's fine then! 🤔🙄

Bollocks do their analytics show that. I work in website analytics and there’s absolutely no way they can reliably tell from that how many kids are accessing the site.

First, anyone who rejects cookies automatically won’t show. Second, the age information they do have is taken from people who have put birthdates on their Google profiles and are logged into Google at the time, so there’s the assumption that they’re being honest.

EmpressaurusOfCats · 06/05/2023 16:46

And third, Google Analytics doesn’t collect data on people it sees to be under 18.

What! So their analytics will show there is no one under the age of 18, because they don't register anyone under 18?

That’s what they say here:

Thanks for sharing. The last bit struck me as interesting "Our facilitators are extremely boundaried" I mean, how can you read that and not think" oh in that case you can have unhindered access to my children, no questions asked"?

SageHoney · 07/05/2023 06:31

This is like the blind men and the elephant: a group of people who have never met a child converse together in a vacuum to try to imagine collectively what one might be like.

I thought there were quite a lot of rules about using data from under-18s? More or less to the effect that you can't, unless it's for very specific purposes like you're a school or a hospital.

ResisterRex · 07/05/2023 10:48

Yes. There are rules:

ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/media-centre/news-and-blogs/2023/04/ico-fines-tiktok-127-million-for-misusing-children-s-data/

" • More than one million UK children under 13 estimated by the ICO to be on TikTok in 2020, contrary to its terms of service.
• Personal data belonging to children under 13 was used without parental consent.
• TikTok “did not do enough” to check who was using their platform and take sufficient action to remove the underage children that were."

Man alive

one of the pictures is what I presume was a publicity shot for the family sex show

it looks as if the plan was to simulate a sexual orgy on stage in front of children

righty ho

I can’t decide if they’re all criminal perverts who need their collar felt or monumentally stupid. Or possibly a combination of the two

Madcats · 09/05/2023 17:48

It looks as if File on Four (R4 -8pm), will be covering school sex ed.

This programme was probably planned/recorded before last week?

End of today's hearing, said there would be a written decision in the next 4 weeks
