There's an interesting case going on with regard to a parent suing the ICO for not forcing SSE to give her details of their lesson plans as used in schoools.

This would make sense. It would probably weed out quite a lot of those whose primary objective is to talk to young people about sex.

@AlisonDonut no, he’s not coercing me it’s just he thinks that because I have previous trauma around anal sex (rape) my viewpoint is skewed in personal bias but I don’t agree.

Bollocks do their analytics show that. I work in website analytics and there’s absolutely no way they can reliably tell from that how many kids are accessing the site.

First, anyone who rejects cookies automatically won’t show. Second, the age information they do have is taken from people who have put birthdates on their Google profiles and are logged into Google at the time, so there’s the assumption that they’re being honest.

And third, Google Analytics doesn’t collect data on people it sees to be under 18.

What! So their analytics will show there is no one under the age of 18, because they don't register anyone under 18?

‘Age: Acquisition, Behavior, and Conversions metrics broken down by age group. When you drill into an age group, you see the breakdown by gender, then by interest. Ages below 18 are not included in the data.’

I thought there were quite a lot of rules about using data from under-18s? More or less to the effect that you can't, unless it's for very specific purposes like you're a school or a hospital.
