Erin Friday explains what it took to save her daughter from Gender ideology indoctrination that began when her daughter was 11. She advocates for more parents to push back to what is happening in schools, and parental resistance is growing in California.

To be a parent is often to be seen as villain by the child. And we will do well to remember that is not always a bad thing.

Mom Explains What It Took to Rescue Daughter From Transgenderism

Nope they cant cancel us all.

I was struck by her saying she had to give her daughter an out. She had to be the bad guy and put in boundaries and take her phone. Change her school and ban the old friends. Become the baddie take the vitriol from the child. Now her child says she loves her everyday. She maintained the relationship with her child but otherwise she did the exact opposite of what I've seen advice for parents of transgender children to do

Yes; she took a completely different approach that fortunately worked for her, arguing ‘you can take the heat if you know what the end result is going to be’. But she recognises it is incredibly hard.

I am disgusted but not surprised that the psychologist hired to help gave the usual advice of using the correct pronouns, and the debunked claim that her child was at risk of suicide if she refused to affirm her daughter’s authentic self.

The psychologist’s advice was influenced by gender affirming therapist Diane Ehrensaft, who puts forward such enlightening and scientifically proven theories that a baby boy who tries to undue his onesie is comminicating to his parents he is transgender. There was a thread on this board about Ehrensaft last year. She seems to hold great sway within the therapist community.

I find that phrase disturbingly similar to "they can't kill us all". As history has shown, they can give it a damn good try, and lots of people will get hurt along the way.
