Surprisingly, the reaction from left wing activist types has been less than supportive, and they are not affirming Ryan's identity.

“You don’t get to question me,” he said directly to the audience. “You do not get to require proof from me. You were part of the movement to help establish these rules and set the bar. Okay? You don’t get to come later when someone else joins your club that you don’t want in.”

Perfect response.

Agree. I’m surprised this hasn’t been done before. His “coming out” 😂 statement reads as quite clumsy but he’s clearly deliberately mimicking a certain style especially with the #, but he’s been astute in avoiding the T word, and his response is spot on.

Motorina · 01/05/2023 08:33

Agreed.

We don't get to question Lia Thomas' motivations.
We don't get to question Emily Bridge's motivations.
We don't get to question Isla Bryson's motivations.
We don't get to question Barbie Kardashian's motivations.
So we don't get to question Ryan Webb's motivations.

That's the way this works.

Sonrien · 01/05/2023 08:37

Go Ryan! First lesbian, woman of colour - yet had to hide these characteristics in order to be elected.

So much I'm enjoying about this thread.

southbiscay · 01/05/2023 08:48

If Humza is allowed to say that Isla Bryson is "at it" then we should all be allowed to say that they are all at it.

Well done Ryan.

loislovesstewie · 01/05/2023 08:50

I hope that was the female version of Ryan.

Was that Canadian teacher with the prosthetic megatits really definitely a satirist?

Apparently - yes.

Fififafa · 01/05/2023 08:53

Not wanting to derail but I was wondering whether the Trans MP Jamie Wallis is claiming to be Trans despite not altering a single thing? It’s all gone very quiet since his car crash, both literally and metaphorically. I know he was being investigated by the authorities for some dodgy business dealings.

ArabeIIaScott · 01/05/2023 09:01

CosyFanTucci · 01/05/2023 08:21

He’s being a dick.

How is he?

Mochinated · 01/05/2023 09:03

Stunning and brave

He is right, no one gets to question his identity.

People are who they say they are

RubyTrees · 01/05/2023 09:04

PonyPatter44 · 30/04/2023 20:31

In an ideal world everyone should just ignore this stupid fucker. What an utter bellend.

In an ideal world no one would believe that humans can change sex.

He's on the Women's and Equalities Select Committee.

SirChenjins · 01/05/2023 09:11

Good for her/him/insert meaningless pronoun of your choice here - #blackpower #bekind #allpowertothemen

I love the fact that no-one feels they have to be defined by their natal sex or colour these days. If she/he/other meaningless pronoun also decides to identify as disabled then I will support that too 🙌

FrancescaContini · 01/05/2023 09:16

ArabeIIaScott · 01/05/2023 09:10

He's on the Women's and Equalities Select Committee.

Of course he is! He’s very well qualified for this role 🤔

GCAcademic · 01/05/2023 09:21

Motorina · 01/05/2023 08:27

I am pleased to say that this still holds even when the transperson is being a dick. We don't get to doubt people's identities just because we don't like them or the party they stand for.

Exactly. TWAW and "people are who they say they are" holds true whether it's (a) a lovely person who just wants to pee, (b) someone who's a bit of a dick, or (c) someone with a history of committing violent crimes against women.

Yes. He also issued a statement in January about his trans status, in which he complains that :

'we now live in a country where there is greater clarity on the movement of a packet of beef around the UK than there is for a trans person with a GRC'.

Er, that’s girl dick to you, if you don’t mind.

ArabeIIaScott · 01/05/2023 09:28

Oh, sorry, missed the following sentence:

'This situation risks exposing all of us as ridiculous'.

Jamie also tweets his approval for Jane Fae.

Lockheart · 01/05/2023 09:32

While I don't think it's the most productive way to address the issue, it did make me smile...

ArabeIIaScott · 01/05/2023 09:33

It seems Jamie has grown and dyed his hair.

More to the point, here he is talking on Cyber Security.

'I was very pleased to have secured another debate as to why we urgently need to reform the Computer Misuse Act. The 33-year-old Act needs to be amended to bring our cyber-security capabilities into the 21st century.
Online threats continue to increase since I last spoke out on this issue. Consequently, I welcome that the Government has committed to implement Sir Patrick Vallance's technology review and introduce a statutory defence.
Currently specialists acting in the public interest, on issues critical to our national security, risk being designated a criminal. The sooner a well-considered defence is added to the Act, the sooner we can unlock the great potential that such changes would entail for the economy and our safety!'

Comments:

'by complete coincidence, don't that company who provided you with an interest free loan specialise in this area of business?'

'luckily, companies such as Fields Data Recovery (which I am in no way suggesting is a conflict of interest) will be well equipped to deal with any extra work generated from implementing new legislation.'

Florissant · 01/05/2023 09:33

CosyFanTucci · 01/05/2023 08:21

He’s being a dick.

When one doesn't have a valid argument, one resorts to ad hominem (ad feminin?) attacks. This case is a perfect example. Well done!

ArabeIIaScott · 01/05/2023 09:10

This the same Jamie Wallis who ran a sugar daddy website?

Proof that the Tories know what women are...

I'm so glad Ryan has been empowered to reveal his true self. (Before anyone calls for this post to be deleted for misgendering, Ryan uses he / him pronouns.)

Yes, the very same.

Poor chap. He really doesn’t have much going on in his life to make “complaints” like that.

turbonerd · 01/05/2023 10:34

Wow. Ryan (f) is stunning and Brave and has indeed pulverised so many glass ceilings in his embrace of his true Authentic self.

Note: he did not say he is trans. He says he identifies as a «woman of color».

A bit like that Norwegian bloke who identifies as a wheelchair using woman.

I am beside myself with admiration for possibly one of them.
