Writing to their principal now - absolutely sick of this nonsense. Imagine what it must be like dealing with these students.

I emailed them about this yesterday. Appalled to be an alumni right now and I was so proud of where I was years ago - was involved in some of the initial gender studies stuff there when I was an undergrad.

Luckily I now live elsewhere and none of our dc have shown an interest in going there.

So sad.

Their employers will be as frightened of them as the Edinburgh university authorities are. Look at publishers today caving in to each and every demand of ‘junior staff’.

I think (hope) not. The tin foil hat gang appear to have massively disproportionate influence in relation to their numbers, but sooner or later a critical mass of people will get sick of spouting utter bullshit and tell these toddlers to get stuffed.

Fucking cowards. I mean, it's not as if the uni doesn't do what they tell them to, what are they so afraid of?

we need to get the parents of uni aged, and about to go to uni aged DCs, to write to the uni to tell them why they won't be sending their DCs there. Especially if coming from abroad.

I can just imagine how that is going.

GC side: patiently setting out lawful basis for holding the screening and freedom of speech, association and expression aspects.

TRA side: tears, appeals to emotion, most maginalised and feeling unsafe because of “genocidal intent” of the patient, measured GCs.

Well Edinburgh's on my 'sorry we're not funding that University for you, dear, think again' list for my children.

Who the hell do these academics think funds and organises payment for their children's degrees? That's right a hell of a lot of women. Who will understand biological reality.

I really hope I don't encounter any doctors educated at Edinburgh given their inability to comprehend the biological basis of womanhood.

Why is the Staff Pride Network being consulted? Why should they be "willing to begin talks'? Why should the university agree with their silly assertion about showing the film having a harmful impact on anyone? The university principal has posted about how committed he is to freedom of speech, difficult conversations yada yada, so he should simply tell them the film will be shown. Appeasing bullies never works.

Interesting point. Why does this Pride Group exert such control? More to the point: why are they allowed to exert this control? Why don’t the people who are really in charge actually take charge? What are they scared of?

Yes, most of us agree. Now, if you'd like to try to stop your trans extremist chums from preventing women from congregating by screaming abuse, spitting at them, assaulting them and sending various violent images, accompanied by rape and death threats, why, the bigotry would be very much reduced.

And why is this true in so many places in so many countries? Other protected classes (say, disabled people) don't seem to get anywhere near the same level of attention, respect, or funding?
