I believe that this is one of Glinner’s few sources of income. I don’t think he gets any money from Ted on C4.

Sorry if I’m being a bit thick (and there is a whole other back story to this) but why doesn’t Glinner get royalties from Motherland or Blackbooks?

Never seen it so will add to my 'happy stuff to watch' list as I absolutely love 'Father Ted'
I also love 'Black Books'and my favourite ever episode
Is 'he's leaving home' with Omid, just quality.
Big fan of 'league of gentlemen' too, that is my all time favourite.
What's funny these days, what are people watching? Nothing makes me smile these days and I love a good laugh!

Glinner really is a comedy legend. My all time fave (of many many) is when Jen gets Employee of the Month and she says:

no need to put me on a pedal stool or anything....

This is what we are all missing out on now. The genius of Glinner.

I think, but I might well be wrong, that it depends on the deal he has with the distributor. So the chances are he got paid a one off fee to have Black Books on channel 4 and they could show it until the end of time and not give him another penny.

It’s the same deal with actors, you often get the choice to either get a one off fee or a percentage. If you think the thing you’ve just made won’t be popular you take the fee, if you know it’s going to do well you take a percentage. A friend of my parents was a main character in a couple of often repeated shows. He was an established actor so took a percentage. The reruns of the shows pay all his bills.
