Apparently.

Not like women are allowed to care about universal fairness, or at least according to a man with no skin in the game (as he's never trans nor a woman).

But we whiny women should just STFU and not talk about issues that affect us because trans women aren't being platformed (erm, yes they are Alex - India for example.)

And yet this tiny oppressed marginalised group have been able to single handedly remove women's rights, child safeguarding, our shared understanding of science and facts while enabling organisations like Marks & Spencers (men in women's lingerie changing rooms), the NHS (male rapists on women's wards) & the ONS https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4781071-1-in-67-englishwelsh-muslims-are-transgender

to all self identify as fucking idiots.

That's an influence every other political lobby would love to have 😑

I don't know which rock Alexander has been hiding under, or perhaps being a man he hasn't needed to notice as it doesn't affect him, but I'm having trouble moving for male people with TQ+ identities talking at me, scolding, telling me what I am, who I am, who my body can be used by, what rights they want and what they intend to do to me for not saying 'yes ma'am'.

The BBC quite frequently discusses woman's rights without any women being present, only transwomen and men.

I would agree however, that transmen are woefully underrepresented in the debate. Only transwomen ever seem to be invited onto the news / invited to write articles etc. Which is enormous bias given the issues for TW and TM are very very different, particularly when it comes to medication and surgery. Entirely different.

I can only think of one transman who sometimes pops up - Whittle - but generally no. Transmen seem to only be famous for getting pregnant; they're generally not asked for their opinions on wider issues.

I do wonder why that should be so.

Stuck in there among the mangled language is, I think, an acknowledgement that puberty blockers are not, in fact reversible, so there is that

Otherwise, as pp said, it’s hardly as if this tiny population isn’t extremely vocal, and well represented in the media and politically. Also, a lack of acknowledgement that a tiny population can have a huge impact. One TW providing intimate or healthcare could see an awful lot of women, and one TW in a female hospital ward/prison/sports event/rape crisis centre will affect all the women there. And that’s before you consider the number of women who will self-exclude even when no TW is present, because the space is no longer guaranteed to be single-sex. He is right about one thing - there is no compassion for the women
