Now, see, I thought that was spelled 'mochit'! We don't see this stuff written down enough.

I'll admit - so did I until I checked it for this thread!

I don't know how to do bigly text, but it bloody well does not!

Scone rhymes with stone!!

You have to wait to see if the bigly letters giver hears your plea. If your lucky you get the power. If not You get arthritis in your right middle toe.

There's no logic to it. It is what it is.

If it's the arthritis you'll know about September time. If it's the power you'll just have to wait until the owl/ferret/letter/PM/email arrives.

Random it's totally random!

Do you think Nicola and Peter are wandering around saying that, while the police gazebos were lovely a couple of days ago, they’re fed up and just want their garden back yet? A bit like MNers desperate to take their Christmas tree down on Boxing Day.

Hmm. last Christmas most mners wanted to shove their Christmas tree right up her a**e before we even got to Christmas day! Never mind boxing day!

stealtheatingtunnocks · 07/04/2023 16:33

I bet Humza’s fuming

bet he didn’t know the auditors would bail.

oh dearie, dearie me.

I just sniggered reading this in Alex Massie@s comment:
"And then there is the tent. It is the kind of thing that, once seen, is not easily forgotten. CSI: Uddingston is a series ending with a twist. When Yousaf said he wished to lead a “big tent” SNP this was not, I suppose, quite what he had in mind."

SquidwardBound · 07/04/2023 17:39

That is very funny @Igneococcus

readsalotgirl63 · 07/04/2023 18:55

I grew up in Glasgow so used clatty but moved to Aberdeenshire where they use clarity (with the r pronounced) but scone most definitely rhymes with gone in both places

Hoardasurass · 07/04/2023 18:55

The snp have hired a top criminal lawyer 🤣www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/04/07/snp-nicola-sturgeon-lawyer-peter-murrell-stuart-munro/

😝

This is all rather exciting.

I’m guessing the new job isn’t quite turning out the way Yousaf expected it?

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 07/04/2023 19:09

Oh this just gets better and better.

Kate Forbes must be bloody delighted getting to watch this shit show from the back benches rather than having to deal with this mess. And even if she did have to, she'd be able to put a lot more distance between herself and Sturgeon/Murrell than Yousaf can.

I read something yesterday I think that basically said you'd need to be a really skilled politician or on an enormous wave of popular support to weather this storm, and HY has neither one going for him. Seems about right. I wonder if he'll beat Liz Truss's record?

EmotionalSupportHyena · 07/04/2023 19:11

I wonder if Kate and Ash have managed to find time to grab a gin or two together?

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2023 19:11

We had a lettuce on Humza, did we not?

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2023 19:22

'Mr Yousaf has been relatively enigmatic so far on business and the economy.'

😂

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2023 19:22

I love 'enigmatic'. He just doesnae have a scooby.

Well, now we know why she had a big, shit-eating grin when Humza Yousef won. And possibly also why she was bluntly honest when asked about her religious beliefs.

She’s now positioned herself as a) not continuity Sturgeon and b) honest. In the next few weeks, that could turn out to be a winning combination.

SquidwardBound · 07/04/2023 19:25

The thing is, it does reflect badly on the SNP leadership if they’re very much junior coalition partners are making them look shit. The leader of the party needs to be much better at negotiating and setting boundaries. And they clearly aren’t any good at ensuring that the credit for the green’s stupidity lands with the greens.

Some of the quotes from Humza in there are giving me flashbacks to a dreadful HoD I had once, whose favourite bit of meaningless bullshit was ‘you’re pushing an open door’. The truth was a long way from that crap cliche.

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2023 19:26

Humza is kind of made out of vacuous cliches, as far as I can tell. The man appears to have no substance or integrity whatsoever.

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2023 19:28

He's learned his rhetoric wholesale from Nicola, but it's just copying her phraseology and patterns. Much as I dislike Nicola, her empty promises at least had a bit of gravitas and vim to them. Presumably because she had a larger motive driving her, which I used to presume was Indie, but now wonder was actually buried in her back garden.

SquidwardBound · 07/04/2023 19:29

I think you’re entirely right there @ArabellaScott.

Like some sort of construct that looks like it’s composed of air. But get close enough and you discover it’s more farty sulphurous dioxide than air.

Not sure this thread is likely to provide clear answers. We’re all speculating on the state of their windows.

At this point I’m starting to feel like my granny, peeking through her blinds to check up on the people over the road washing their nets.

Lol thank you for clearing that up! I was wondering if I was having a turn because I couldn’t understand what on earth was going on 🤣

Still none the wiser but glad I am not the only one

Perhaps you could Self ID as the 21st police officer and pop round and have a look?

Surely by now you should realise the best threads are the ones that descend into chaos almost immediately.

You're not supposed to understand them. just go with Flow...even if it takes younger under the patio. Allegedly.

Boiledbeetle · 07/04/2023 23:11

You under! Not younger! That could be completely different headlines.
