Shocking scenes in Auckland, TRA pours liquid on KJK

I'm not even sure what to say about this, I just find it really shocking.

Baying mobs surrounded the intended event, one got onto the podium and poured red liquid all over KJK and KJK had to be removed amidst a huge crush.

I hope everyone is OK.

Any newcomers to this little corner of mumsnet, wondering who KJK is and why she has been subjected to such a deranged, aggressive outburst by the people in the footage in my op, I recommend watching these.

If lomg-form isn't for you, this brief appearance on Sky News will give a flavour. Dr Adrian Harrop had KJK's "woman, adult human female" billboard removed for being "transphobic"

That harrop interview never gets old.
Still as funny today as it ever was.

Boiledbeetle · 25/03/2023 15:02

And what is Parker’s crime? What did this witch do? She said, ‘A woman is an adult human female’.

And I know i posted it earlier but

Carrymeout, can you link to the video of this? I know she will take the mic to challenge, and sometimes too quickly imo, before giving it back, but not that people are sent away, unless the person becomes aggressive or doesn't really have anything constructive to add.

Not true. The mic has been taken away when someone said trans rights are human rights. It is only people who supports what Posie says who can speak at her events.

IWineAndDontDine · 25/03/2023 15:13

This is all so confusing to me. I only started using mn maybe a year ago? Was firmly on the side of TWAW and any opposing view was bigoted. But over time there have been so many arguments I can't argue with logically and now I'm struggling coming to terms with the fact my views are changing and I almost feel like I'm on another "side" to my family and friends. Did anyone else feel like this?

Boiledbeetle · 25/03/2023 15:19

Just watched that top interview. I know it's 2018, but he says "no one is trying to change the dictionary definition".... Hmm...which is exactly what they are doing right now!

Apparently quite a few. By all accounts it's rather disconcerting.

(I wouldn't know personally I've always thought they were men).

Stick around though, once you've seen the truth there's no going back.

CarryMeOut · 25/03/2023 15:22

@sanluca The person wrestled to the floor by security for shouting in the mic trans rights are human rights.

The one that rushed up to the actual woman squeaking and grabbed the Mic off her? That one?

@HagoftheNorth Not true. The mic has been taken away when someone said trans rights are human rights. It is only people who supports what Posie says who can speak at her events.

The violence is wrong. But the stewarding is woeful. There should have been far more stewards here. A very badly organised event that was always going to put Posie and other women at risk.

She has done debates with trans activists though . India Willoughby for one. They are revelling in what has happened . What a surprise .

CarryMeOut · 25/03/2023 15:31

Are you really saying if she queued up she would be allowed to shout out into the mic that trans rights are human rights?

CarryMeOut · 25/03/2023 15:22

And if it is that then 1 h r 39 in on this video.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9o47VZvDgAA

This person rushed yup grabbed the Mic and started shooting about trans rights. And yes they were then dealt with by security.

I mean they could have waited their turn like all the women do but no just run up and take. The security are texting to someone storming three spreading stress not what the person is saying.

And if it's not this one then Can you link to the video you mean?

This ^^

JacquelinePot · 25/03/2023 15:35

Why don't you go and try it at the next event and see? None of us here can speak for what KJK would do if someone who disagrees with her politely waited their turn and calmly said their piece, because it has never happened, afaik. I refer you to the link in the op to see what such people actually do at her events

It is awful what happened to KJK and I hope she is okay. She must be pretty shaken up.

I think it's a bit rich of her to blame what happened in NZ on left wing feminists in the UK. If they weren't on the other side of the world they would have absolutely had her back. We are all united in opposing violence against women. The left wing feminists have had many dealings with angry TRAs. They would never condone that behaviour.

Not so. They hate her as much as the TRAs do.

Okay I will do. I bet you I get bundled away though or she will snatch the mic from me and tell me I am wrong.

SmartHome · 25/03/2023 15:49

Even if that were true, which I don't think it is, so what? They are events organised for women to speak about their experiences. TWANW. Even if you're a biological woman who wants to speak and say TWAW, why would you choose to do it at an event set up to say the opposite? Why not organise your own pro TWAW event if you're so passionate about it?

I would honestly love to hear a calm and rational explanation of the pro-gender identity view, so I would welcome that. If all you plan to do is shout thought-terminating mantras into the mic, I would have no interest in that. If I can't be there in person, I will certainly watch the stream.

The Twitter post is still there and it is quite a reach.

KJK gets attacked my male thugs in New Zealand and blames a group of women in the UK for it rather than the violent males.

Yes, I thought people could be 'born in the wrong body' and felt great sympathy for them. I still feel sympathy for a person with genuine body dysmorphia, but the scales fell from my eyes about 5 years ago and now I am RAGING.

Fortunately I don't know too many people who are full blown TWAW and my line of work doesn't require me to use pronouns or toe the line in terms of woke fawning. But I struggle not to be overwhelmed by my anger and feeling of impotence.

dimorphism · 25/03/2023 15:56

Boiledbeetle · 25/03/2023 15:34

YES that's how it works

In the US video there was a point where KJK and other women got into quite a long and respectful debate with a TRA. Who I think had some very weird ideas about human biology - IIRC at one point KJK asked her if transwomen could have babies and she said 'yes'.

They spoke for several minutes with KJK allowing her to speak and everyone else listened too (unlike what happens with the other side, constantly trying to drown women's voices out). No compromise position was found but she was definitely allowed to speak. Kellie-Jay would definitely allow a TRA to speak, probably not to just parrot the same line over and over again for hours, but say their piece. If it's just 'trans rights are human rights' then it would be short.

I'd love a TRA to come up with a coherent reason why people with male bodies should be allowed in women's single sex spaces and why trans rights should be allowed to erode women's rights, rather than just have the obvious solution of third spaces alongside single sex.
