The scenes in Australia and New Zealand were shocking in the extreme. Much like the ones we saw from the US tour. Clearly higher levels of violence are tolerated there than would be in the U.K. Was aghast at the neo-nazi group just strolling in and doing salutes in Melbourne. Obviously something is going on down there KJK could not have anticipated since such groups are so emboldened and overt.

It was horrendous to see KJK assaulted by a woman in New Zealand with that tomato soup. In fact, it seems that only women are being assaulted at these events. In Canberra, Lidia Thorpe was pulled over backwards by KJK’s burly male security. She was obviously an unarmed woman carrying only an aborigine flag and of no threat- but for the act of walking up to the stage area (there was no cordon), she was assaulted. That violence was completely unnecessary.

But then in New Zealand, another woman got close to KJK through a metal barricade and dumps tomato soup all over her head- how was this woman not clocked as a threat as she would have been carrying a container with an unknown liquid in it? I did read that KJK’s security team for NZ had cancelled on her at the last minute as well which evidently made things less safe than they were planned to be.

I saw KJK’s tweet from the airport and have no idea why she was blaming “spiteful and jealous” women in the U.K. for what happened in Australia and New Zealand? I don’t think anyone has that sort of reach or influence to mastermind how events are going to unfold that involved thousands of people half a world away. I can only think KJK must have been in shock and not thinking clearly. Being surrounded by a good dozen security and police body guarding her and whisking her to safety amid such a chaotic and violent mob reminded me of similar scenes from assassination attempts on politicians. Must have been terrifying.
