Shocking scenes in Auckland, TRA pours liquid on KJK

JacquelinePot · 25/03/2023 09:59

I'm not even sure what to say about this, I just find it really shocking.

Baying mobs surrounded the intended event, one got onto the podium and poured red liquid all over KJK and KJK had to be removed amidst a huge crush.

I hope everyone is OK.

In my Lesbian group around 2015, we had a male member that liked women, who had the full operation; no penis, no testicles. He announced it:(
It didn't matter; he behaved like the entitled male he was. We all loathed him. I wish the organizor had the fortitude to kick him out.
Having the operation means nothing; don't fall for this....

JacquelinePot · 25/03/2023 17:34

@Kyliealwayshadthebestdisco I think it's admirable to want to find a way that makes everyone happy but I really don't think that's possible. You can't compromise between the truth and a lie. You can't have women only spaces - and the safeguarding that provides - if you let some men in.

This is a bit old now but really helped me get my head around the situation when I first made my ascent

Because images of big burly bearded transwomen in dresses are forever given as examples of the absurdity of the whole debate (rightly so) but here is someone who lived for many years 'as a woman', had surgery - and it would be horribly exclusive to deny them the dignity of being called a women. Yes of course they're not literally and biologically a women.
Do people really not see this??

I do worry about language and protected spaces, but I worry about transpeople too.

Male and female are exclusionary terms.

I don't think it's very dignified to force women to accommodate men when they are undressing or vulnerable no matter what clothing the man is taking off or whatever body modification he's gone through to support his own prejudice about his body.

garlicandsapphires · 25/03/2023 17:18

Come now. Not 'most'. SURELY this is a tiny tiny minority? the autogynephilic lot?

Autogynephilia is one of the most common sexual fetishes. It's been estimated that 3% of all men have it.
Autogynephilia: an underappreciated paraphilia - PubMed (nih.gov)

In the not too distant past, everybody knew that some men got a sexual thrill by dressing in women's clothes, but what was understood less well that it wasn't really the clothes that were the fetish, but the idea of themselves as a woman.
Now all these men are being encouraged by the 'trans rights' idiocy and the general alphabet soup push to allow men to indulge their fetishes in public.
There are far far more of them than the homosexual transwomen, with their internalised homophobia.

MarshaBradyo · 25/03/2023 17:36

It is shocking

Cultures which silence women with violence are common but not good

Why should someone whose concept of "woman" is so sexist and degrading that they believe it's something a man can be based on nothing more than his social, physical or sexual preferences be given some sort of "honorary woman" status simply because he's had cosmetic surgery?

Women are not resources to support men. Not even ones that are really sad. Not even if that would make the sad men so super happy. Women exist and have both value, and needs, in their own right.

Mixedberrygenderfluidmuffin · 25/03/2023 17:39

And really vanishingly few transwomen 'pass' in real life.
I saw a transwoman today (a very rare occurrence where I live), I had 'clocked' them from the other end of the high street, by the way they walked. There is no surgery that can give a man a female pelvis.

EndlessTea · 25/03/2023 17:41

Because males have higher social status in pretty much every society, people find it hard to not prioritise men’s wishes and demands over women, and feel sceptical about women saying “no!” to them. It’s all…

Surely there’s another way?

Surely women can budge up a bit?

Has no one noticed this man feels sad?

Let’s compromise (women) so he can have what he wants?

etc
etc.

SapphosRock · 25/03/2023 17:42

That's what happened though. All the Brighton feminists sin page rubbish was quoted by an mp in Australia as a reason she was a dangerous Nazi bigot that had to be stopped. She was interviewed about it, and it ramped up from there. There's a direct link to them inciting violence.

What absolute rubbish. The Brighton feminists 'sin page' was a list of KJK's own quotes which are fundamentally in opposition to to what the Brighton feminists believe in. Therefore they did not attend her event.

I actually can't believe anyone would suggest that this is inciting violence.

Only violent men are responsible for male violence. FFS.

The walk is always a dead giveaway.

This is all so confusing to me. I only started using mn maybe a year ago? Was firmly on the side of TWAW and any opposing view was bigoted. But over time there have been so many arguments I can't argue with logically and now I'm struggling coming to terms with the fact my views are changing and I almost feel like I'm on another "side" to my family and friends. Did anyone else feel like this?

Not me personally. But a woman I know. She was quite resistant at first but I slowly explained over a number of conversations. She moves in very liberal MC circles. She sometimes makes comments to me of things she has observed when we meet up. She is interestingly highly trained in an interdisciplinary science, which incorporates biology, endocrinology and biochemistry etc. I think she now compartmentalises her life.

Yes. Social media makes it so incredibly obvious that the majority of people, both sexes, do this. It's like a worm that has drilled its way into our brains, even very feminist ones.

Partly it's because saying no to men has much worse consequences, potentially, than saying no to women. But whatever causes it, being aware of it happening is the first step.

Oh well Saphho, as you are here posting your bias as usual then we have to take your word for it over the woman that's actually just lived through it.

No.

Baldieheid · 25/03/2023 17:48

Saying "no" to males is, in many cases, liable to get you a thump, a lesson learned in childhood for many girls who are then told "awww he only hit you because he LIKES you".

What crap.

Masochists. We're taught to be masochists. I wonder if that's the part that attracts that particular segment of the male population?

JoodyBlue · 25/03/2023 17:48

@garlicandsapphires you must notice the very sexualised presentation of the many of the transwomen protesting against women wanting to keep women's space and language for women? That or the very aggressive assertion that it should be given over by young women or men. The characters you describe who have had surgery and simply want to live their lives peacefully don't appear to be very much part of the discussion or to have been those who are pushing for change. Gender dysphoria on the whole seems to have become far less part of the discussion now that self ID is on the table. This is the real issue. The massive overreach. It begins to feel a bit straw man like to bring that in to the discussion when we are talking about women speaking up for women's space being drowned out by mob activity.

QueenHippolyta · 25/03/2023 17:50

Absolutely women are socialized into it. And the gay males who were trans in my Lesbian social group were ghastly too; they tried to have me thrown out for joking; " Who would want to be male?"
Men always remain men no matter what they wear or whichever sex they are attracted to. They will always throw women under the bus to get what they want.

Hepwo · 25/03/2023 17:50

Inciting has a different meaning to responsible.

This is why there will always be a need for feminism and it will never be over.

If you look to the animal kingdom, you can see that there is a lot of instinctual ‘knowing your place’ in order to avoid conflict and potential injury. I believe it is hardwired- for survival, as well as learned by experience and conditioned by socialisation.

There are far far more of them than the homosexual transwomen, with their internalised homophobia.

Only about 0.9% of women are lesbian (from the 2018 UK census - may have increased since then - a further 1.1% are bisexual) so its not hard to see what a massive impact having three times their number of AGP men could have.

EndlessTea · 25/03/2023 18:08

Also, I have experienced ‘creepy’ men since I was a girl - the feeling that something is a bit off.

Men can often have paraphilias that seem inexplicable and weird. Like getting turned on by doing knitting or holding a handbag.

I feel women and girls should be given the dignity to not have to interact with men in a state of ‘gender euphoria’. There will be many who have a thing about putting make up on in a women’s bathroom, or even peeing in a women’s toilet.

The reason women have needed single sex space is basically to get away from the pervs. To have our dignity, our safety and privacy. I don’t think it’s a lot to ask.

RealityFan · 25/03/2023 11:00

Twenty years.
2003, Billy Elliott is lauded as the breakthru where kids can explore gender and not be bullied.
2013, same sex marriage enshrined in law, effectively broaching the final legal obstacle to gay discrimination.
2023, KJK Down Under.
It's like we've gone back over a century to before women got the vote.
These scenes are hugely upsetting and unacceptable.
It looks like other than in Britain and France, gender critical women have it very bad.
From Biden Title XI legislation, to Self ID legalising in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Finland, Ireland, to the TRA activist takeover in Aussie and NZ, Canada as well, the gender Borg is assimilating wherever it goes.
I'm hugely pesimistic for the future.

I'm sure I saw videos of at least two incidents in France in which feminists were openly, physically attacked in the streets by men.

Boiledbeetle · 25/03/2023 18:27

In all of my fifty years I've never known a time when men were quite so happy to show how much they fucking hate women.

Mummyoflittledragon · 25/03/2023 18:28

WildIris · 25/03/2023 17:11

Nope, don’t bring surgery into it. It’s not something I would ever recommend to someone who felt distress in their body as the surgery risks are awful.

And having your penis removed doesn’t reduce physical strength, male aggression, height etc.

just look at what has happened to Jazz Jennings - and Jazz is now saying that after all this, Jazz still doesn’t feel happy.

Jeepers I’ve just looked that up. Matt Walsh commenting.
