Ana Kasparian is the cohost of the Young Turks YouTube channel. Full on TWAW and very Owen Jones/Bernie Saunders. I watch the channel occasionally and she has been leading the lambasting of JK Rowling for ... whatever it is JKR is supposed to have done.

Anyhoo, she tweeted today an objection to the whole cervix Havers, menstruators thing. You will never guess how people responded. Actually, you will guess. But let's see if she backs down.

She still criticised JKR, though, and I can only assume she didn't look into what JKR actually wrote. Perhaps she will now.

She's also married to a baseball player so that might give her an insight into what is happening in women's sports too.

As for AOC (beloved by TYT)...I really don't see her backtracking any time soon. I think she's 100% on board with the ideology.

But even that distinction gets lost - yesterday BBC news reporting on the world athletics decision said 'female transgender athletes' meaning transwomen

Ages ago, I read a comment on this board about building golden bridges.

That a 'win' wouldn't play out by those people who trashed GC viewpoints saying 'sorry, you guys were right all along. What were we thinking?!'

Instead, it would play out with those people who currently support Gender Ideology saying exactly the same things we've been saying as if they were the ones who had just thought of it. And we would still be the bad guys.

That seems to be what's happening here. It's a bit galling and depressing. But if the insanity stops, that's the main thing.

Context is an important factor though. It's quite different to state, "people with uteruses" when actually you mean biological women and are differentiating them from men than if a medical professional is addressing a room full of women and uses the same term. Even then, why not say "women with uteruses" if that's what you mean?

I watched Ana's discussion with Ben Shapiro that was recorded in February. It looks as though during the pandemic she started to listen to and read views outside of her own echo chamber.

Very interesting. She's still obviously very much on the hard left but it looks as though there is a softening around the edges of some of her hard-line views. It's possible she may find herself at the top of the mountain shortly. Who knows.

Pleased that Ana hasn’t walked back.

She hasn’t even made a new top level tweet (sometimes people go on a tweet spree to push an unpopular tweet down their profile).

Here’s a comparison of the stats from when I first saw and screenshotted her tweet on Thursday at 2.24 pm and now Saturday 10.40 am.

I’m a little sad that she hasn’t had more likes but some of her audience/followers are very hostile to her view and others are likely scared to rock their own boats with a ‘like’.

Personally I’m super happy to offer Ana a Golden Bridge and I hope she continues to explore the terfy position (which is much more compatible with ‘old left’ ideals than the TRA IDPOL position).

And at the very least, millions of American women can now point at a high profile, left wing, female political commentator and confidently state that there is nothing inherently right wing about resisting the language of genderwoowoo.

This is absolutely what will happen and perhaps the only way it will happen as people generally don't like to admit they were wrong, especially if you were wrong loudly and vocally.

I think there's probably a lot of agreement across the board. Most people are pretty 'live and let live' and assume that TWAW is embodying that. It's only when you really put some thought into it that you realise how regressive gender ideology is (holding my hand up here).

There are strong rumours that what will kill this movement are Gen Alpha. Ie under-14 year olds. Despite autistic girls and homophobically bullied boys driving a lot of the teen angst on trans identification, a growing number of Alpha teens are looking at their transed older siblings, especially those gone NB, and feeling like they're losers, deeply unappealing. And have little time for biology classes telling them one thing on sex, but teachers addled by trans SJW attitudes telling them the opposite, lying to them.
It may be that we're on the cusp of a massive swing where the newly teenaged en masse rebel against the Kool Aid society has been force fed, older women keep speaking up, and we're left with two groups, a more and more isolated Gen X hated by their younger peers and viewed pejoratively by older Millenial and Boomer GC realists, and a dwindling group of older male autogynephile narcissists who's bark will in no way match their bite.
It won't be the adults who save us...but the kids.
And when the full horror of the scandal of medicalisation of youth comes out, the anger from those let down as the adults "left the room" will be something to behold.

I’m seeing this in my family - 11 year old DD says increasingly amusing/profound things. Yesterday it was

DD: ‘Mum, can I ask you a question about nonbinary people?’

Me: (wonders if she thinks I’m a fascistic science-denier based on something she’s second hand learned from a school friend’s TikTok) ‘Sure, go ahead’

DD: ‘They haven’t actually come up with a
way to exist outside of the sex binary, have they? They are still all male or female, they just made up a different thing and called it nonbinary… and that just made a new binary… nonbinary people and binary people… Isn’t that a bit of a silly and pointless thing to do, when girls can have short hair anyway?’

Me: (expels coffee from nose): ‘Yep’.

Give your kid a big hug and tell her both how profound and how plain and simple re what she just said is.
She's not alone. I'm certain this is what will break the ice, a whole generation both fed up or unaccepting of all this.
