With Harris' usual gaffe-prone timing, she has managed to send this in the week when Dylan outed himself as an identifying as a schoolgirl. That's going to make a lot of liberal parents, who previously saw him as harmless, have second thoughts.

It's also powerful evidence of the extent to which Biden and Harris are in a 'Progressive' media bubble. This stuff only plays well with the type of people who are going to vote Dem, come what may. It goes down like a cup of cold sick in suburban America - the contested areas that will decide the next president.

Why would they send a letter like that to this guy? What has he done to receive any special attention? There are thousands of people who achieve things every day in the US who don't get letters.

What would 365 days of actual girlhood look like? I'd love to see a film rebuttal pointing out 365 situations girls are in e.g. street harrasment, dick pics, spiking, coerced situations, stalking, Rotherham, Cologne, Iran, Afghanistan........

They wouldn't dare claim only women get pregnant. I think its so interesting/horrifying as someone interested in American politics that they can't claim the supreme court decision/GOP policies around abortion are misogynistic because people get pregnant not women.
When a very intelligent woman like Ketanji Brown Jackson can't even answer "what is a woman?" you know that there is no "acceptable" answer to that question

Yes but sadly they're only choosing from the tiny group of the 330m who can afford to run for president.

I've lived and worked in the US and am currently working on a long term project with a California-based team. I'm old-school left wing (free speech, gender critical) and it's been very interesting to see their usually militant support of the Dems worn down by this insanity, even in the face of Roe v Wade.

These are liberal, media-type people, mixed backgrounds/races, but they've been pushed to the point where they don't believe anything the Dems say anymore. When the Dems do follow through, it's to promote things they don't want like gender nonsense (which poll after poll shows Americans don't want) or a complete lack of policing resulting in massive homeless encampments outside their front doors, instead of dealing with issues that actually matter. Maybe because I'm Brit, but they have been much more open slagging off the Dems in recent months.

I don't know what's going to happen but I'm guessing the Dems won't be in power much longer.

When the Mulvaney videos first starting coming out, I remember very deliberately not commenting on them because they were obviously a parody. No one could surely believe they were real?
Iirc the first ones were all about being allowed to overspend on clothing and being scared of bugs now that they were a 'girl'.
It was as if someone sat down and wrote the most sexist version of girlhood they could think of, and then completely hammed it up with acting it out.
But it slowly became clear it wasn't a parody and Dylan isn't actually playing some massive joke on everyone.
So, I don't know. I genuinely fail to understand how even a very stupid person can see those and not immediately notice how mind bogglingly sexist they are. And even the White House is fawning over them? Couldn't they find a not-sexist trans person to pat on the head and wheel out to show how progressive they are?
We're in bizarroland.
