'Front hole'

I was googling info about vaginal HRT tonight and came accross a medical article referring to a 'front hole'. This is apparently a 'gender affirming term' (as opposed to euphemistic three year old speak.)

You mean back hole 🤣

puffyisgood · 19/03/2023 08:23

it's beyond stupid. I suppose I could probably understand something more along the lines of extreme prudishness/refusal to acknowledge said bits of anatomy, but can't begin to think whose feelings are protected by instead giving them a child's/porn name.

Wouldn't a woman's front hole be her urethra?

The urethra doesn't count because men don't use it for putting their cocks in

FannyCann · 19/03/2023 08:36

I was also confused as it referred to a low dose oestrogen tablet which I assumed was a pill for swallowing until it later explained about putting it up the front hole and I realised it was talking about a pessary.

Language matters!

  • Glad I read through before posting as autocorrect swapped pessary for peasant and then offered pheasant Grin
highfidelity · 19/03/2023 08:49

Urgh. That's as offensive as it is anatomically incorrect - biological women have three holes down there.

OP, you want a pessary called Vagifem which your GP can prescribe for you. It is also available from the pharmacy as Gina.

I just cringed so hard I'm wearing my back hole as a scarf.

This is rather brilliant

I kind of agree with this. If you don't agree with gender ideology then maybe a website called "Folx" isn't the best place to be looking for advice

I think it's because when I googled HRT and oestrogen levels instead of an article referencing HRT for menopausal wonen this came up - Presumably because a lot of HRT type drugs are now used for trans people and that's reflected in Google searches.

i really wanted to find our if it was dangerous or advisable to use patches ( Evoril conti) plus the cream the gp gave me without an exam or a face to face or actually even a consultation. Or whether I needed a different strength HRT (Conti is meant to come in different strengths but I can't see this on the packaging). No medic has looked in my second from front hole since I started HRT patches five years ago. I'm thinking of booking a private session at a menopause clinic.

im not sure why front hole is better than vagina. I mean men have front holes on the end of their ... lady dicks. Why not call them male vaginas to be consistent. Or guy vaginas or guyginas. At least that makes it clearer it's the same Anatomy with a different gender.

It's an article is inclusive as in does not want to offend Trans men who are alienated by the ter vagina. Trans women get lady dick.

But no one expects the word penis to go for men, they don't use front pipe. The equivalent would be man vagina not front hole.

Its not even accurate. It isn't a hole, its a potential space and a passage leading to the womb via the cervix.

nilsmousehammer · 19/03/2023 10:05

If you can produce any article or documentation referencing people with TQ plus identities as having a 'lady dick' I would be interested to see who wrote it.

And as for the 'if you don't want to be offended don't look in places where you know you'll find people with different beliefs' argument - how is that working reciprocally? Are women permitted to have their own language and spaces to talk in with those who don't like their terminology going 'fair's fair, I shouldn't have come here and expected not to be offended'.

It's not reciprocal, is it?

It's not accepted for more important people, is it?

It's only acceptable to do to women. Which announces that this is in fact, male supremacism that sees what's ok to do to women is never ok to do to the very special and more important kind of humans. And what you expect of women to suck up and deal with, is not ever a burden you'd put upon men.

No. Those fig leaves of excuses do nothing at all to hide the reality. Either inclusion and respect are equal values for everyone, or everyone can say and do what the fuck they like and anyone complaining about it can reframe their trauma. Pick one.

This trans health website considers "front hole" to be a medical term:
www.transhub.org.au/language

Then someone needs to tell them they are wrong - in every sense.

Then someone needs to have a gentle chat about the history of female health care and how very long it took to get doctors to talk about vulvas, vaginas and other accurate terms instead of infantilising and coy talking about 'front bottoms' because women's bits were unspeakable.

They won't care however, because male supremacism.

Even weirder, surely the "front hole" would be the urethra, not the vagina???

Exactly this!!!

Marchforward · 19/03/2023 10:39

justgotosleepffs · 19/03/2023 08:23

The urethra doesn't count because men don't use it for putting their cocks in

And this the unfortunate truth of the matter. Women bodies only been viewed as holes to be used by men.

BellatrixLestrangesHeatedCurlers · 19/03/2023 10:53

It’s not even a hole! Its a complex system of muscles and nerves leading to an organ. It’s not like a pothole sat there fully open :/ that’s seriously degrading.

FlirtsWithRhinos · 19/03/2023 11:05

Yep exactly. I think of mine as a tunnel, tube or canal. I'm aware of its presence within me. Only a person observing from the outside would jump to "hole".

Although it does occur to me that the "hole" terminology makes it easier to obscure the difference between a natural vagina and a neo-"vagina", since the latter actually is a hole in the body with no innate structure and that goes nowhere.

It's not reciprocal and I totally agree it should be. The reason I don't have a problem with it being called a front hole on that particular website is precisely for that reason. You can't expect something to ever be reciprocal if you aren't doing allowing yourself in the first place. Its a trans friendly site using trans friendly terminology (shocker)

I'd fully expect a website aimed at women to use woman centric terminology. The problem only comes from these terms being used universally which is not the case here.

Gincan · 19/03/2023 11:09

Aren't allowing it yourself*

JacquelinePot · 19/03/2023 11:15

Yet another contradiction of the gender identity movement.

They say men can have vaginas. So if men can have vaginas, why cant they use the word "vagina"? Because don't really believe men can have vaginas. They know only women have vaginas. That's why they have to call it something different.

Anyone who is so detached from their own body that they can't face using the correct terminology for it, needs serious, urgent mental health treatment.

And anyone who colludes in this madness is doing these people a serious disservice.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 19/03/2023 11:19

Utini · 19/03/2023 01:39

Well yes of course it's biologically inaccurate. I would hope mainstream literature doesn't ever use this term. But if women who identify as trans are avoiding information on their health because of the terms used, then isn't it better that they have the information they need in language they're ok with?

No. Not really.

it is already emerging how many Born female who have embraced trans ideology ( I presume that’s what you mean by identifying as trans, and not the other way round) bitterly regret the damage the hormones and surgery have done to their health, mental and physical.

Let’s preserve biological integrity, at least, instead of embracing pretence for the ‘comfort’ of a minority. Anyway, are you seriously telling me that a trans man doesn’t know what a vagina is, even if they do dislike having one? If they are that far down the rabbit hole, I don’t think they will be reading anything about women’s health, so we might as well preserve scientific and adult terminology.

nilsmousehammer · 19/03/2023 11:20

If this kind of language was ever used for TQ+ it would be howled down as objectifying and dehumanising, reducing people to body parts, it would be seen as wholly unacceptable.

I am honestly not falling for the 'women go first and be the bigger people and maybe you'll get a few crumbs of reciprocation' - we're years past destruction testing that.

Women's patience and tolerance and willingness to be kind is why we now have, as a pp so rightly said above, women's bodies seen and talked about only in terms of the fuckable bit relevant to men. It is not excusable, it is abhorrent.

NecessaryScene · 19/03/2023 11:31

They don't seem to have thought this through.

If "vagina" is supposed to be bad because it's "associated with women", and transmen think "front hole" is better because it's not, why on earth would they want to start pushing "front hole" on other women, and hence get that associated with women?

It's both demeaning to women AND directly contrary to what transmen claim to want.

I'd have understood immediately. My sisters and I used "pheasant" as a code word for vagina when we were young.

it started with a misunderstanding that arose from trying to communicate discretely about thrush.
