And it's not just women that are infertile in a heterosexual relationship... men can be infertile too, don't know why there always seems to be more emphasis on the woman when it comes to ivf

Ivf should be available to anyone who wants it.

My son is an ivf baby, we are in a country where it is not publicly funded, so we pay privately for it, and anyone any avail of the services ivf clinics provide, whether they be single, straight, old, young, married, divorced etc etc etc

If single or lesbian women aren't infertile they shouldn't need IVF - IUI should be there first step - if they choose IVF with no fertility issues then I don't think it should be publicly funded. I had to have a year of trying and six round of IUI before getting a funded round of IVF - obviously the first doesn't apply in single women/same sex couples but they shouldn't be able to jump straight to IVF when there are other cheaper, safer, less invasive methods available.

Yes, and it is available on NHS. IUI offered first.

Of course it should be available but are you asking if the nhs should fund it? I think that's a different question and I am of two minds. I know a few who went it alone and they did not realise how hard it would be not having any financial and emotional support
