EVERY single discussion about the safety and wellbeing of women and girls is now somehow hijacked by what this means for trans people.
This isn't about them. Discussions about the protection and rights of women and girls are just that. Women's rights do not equate to 'anti-trans movement'. Trans people are a different group with different needs, and have quite enough powerful support lobbies behind them for those needs to be catered to appropriately. Why the persistent need to bring women (never men, is it?) into this equation at all?
The situation with unisex toilets in school was always going to escalate, and it defies belief that the protestors are now the ones being branded as a disruptive influence. Having failed so spectacularly failed to protect their own students, the fact that it's the schools now deemed in need of protection - from mere children who have dared to question adult authority - would be laughable if it weren't so serious.
Whilst the tedious DARVO tactics grind on, Pink Floyd have come full fucking circle.
