Women who write books presuming to tell everyday lesbians what they should say or think. More self promotion at the expense of every day lesbians (as we know from those who have posted on FWR) dont need to be told what they already now, but some active campaigning.

This is just a project aimed at giving the media a go to place rather than doing proper investigation.

There is an existing thread about this, but cant be bothered to find it.

I think there is also a thread aboug JB beinginterviewed by the media about it.

Hard as it might be for some to believe, but 99.999999999% of women's liberation activism, lesbian supporting other lesbians happened without JB being present or other women even being aware of her.

That female people dare to want an organisation representing female people, is apparently an act of aggression to male people. Stonewall, Mermaids, they're fine to be exclusively focused on the needs of just one group and expect the rest of the world to realise that there are other organisations for them. But female homosexuals?

Lesbians are tired of being overlooked by LGBTQ+ orgs or used as a validation tool by men with paraphilias, it's definitely time we carved out some space for ourselves.

If you look at the responses to the tweets announcing this project, the majority of immediate responses all came from male people of various identities demanding to know how this project intends to serve them, because if it doesn't its genocide. Or something. You all know the spiel. Owen's just another one of many.

Argh fgs OJ and the rest of this bunch, stop shouting at people pointing out the problem and deal with the bloody problem of very very inappropriate people in your ranks .

If you won't do something to clean your own house then they're your problem and you own them, and you're going to be viewed as a group owning them.

This entire movement seems to be boiling down to 'I want to do whatever I want to do and there must never be consequences'. Fuck that. No.

It's funny @ArabellaScott @nilsmousehammer that they want to keep Lesbians hostage at the same time. Because women meeting together are profoundly scary to men.
We may be planning to take away their porn and educate young girls that sex is actually pleasurable and boys/men need to satisfy the needs of girls/women first!
