Here is the video of Green laughing about the fact they had to remove part of her child's colon because 'there wasn't much there to work with'.

DameMaud · 20/02/2023 12:34

Are there any other records of the original video apart from KJK's do we know?

Pretty sure it will have been well archived.

CC investigation: launched in November, escalated in December.

How long is it likely to take?

I seem to remember the news stories at the time saying it could be the best part of a year. Still, it'll be a nice early Christmas present.

DameMaud · 20/02/2023 14:15

Thanks Arabella.
KJKs one is pretty safe I should think and is also such a powerful commentary.
The timing of the original being removed is... Very interesting

Aroundtheriverbend · 20/02/2023 14:22

The State Media have put a copy of the video up on their channnel:

twitterexile · 20/02/2023 14:30

Doesn't work?

SmartHome · 20/02/2023 14:32

Astounding. What a cowardly attempt to erase incriminating evidence. Imagine how many 10s of 1000s of vulnerable kids and confused parents watched it though. It's been up for what 7/8 years?

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 20/02/2023 14:35

twitterexile · 20/02/2023 14:30

Doesn't work?

This site seems to much prefer YouTube links in a desktop format, rather than a mobile one. See if this works better?

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 20/02/2023 14:37

I’m probably behind the times but I just googled CBBC’s lamentable ‘I am Leo’ and see that it’s no longer available to stream on the BBC website. I wrote to them about it and got a gaslighty reply about how it was all fine

there does seem to be a fair bit of reverse ferreting going on

Sorry, I always forget that Mumsnet doesn't actually accept youtube links via the youtube share button. Hopefully this link should work:

twitterexile · 20/02/2023 15:23

Clips are working but not sure I can actually put myself through it again! I was always amazed that she thought it was somehow good publicity.

twitterexile · 20/02/2023 15:29

Stuff it, I'm going in!

Any idea when that went? Or the last time you saw it?

Given I'm sure Hannah Barnes has referred to it in her book and works for the bbc they removed it sharpish.

@DameMaud there's definitely an archived link in one of the twitter RT of the tweet upthread I saw

@Aroundtheriverbend ah yes, that works

I'm not particularly surprised, although I was shocked that she couldn't see from the very beginning how incriminating it was.

She may as well have said "my husband was massively homophobic so I tried to stop my son playing with dolls, but luckily I realised I could blame it on the fact he was magically supposed to be a girl instead."

DameMaud · 20/02/2023 15:42

Yep. Thanks Warrior. Got the state media one now. Can't download as not got YouTube premium, but I'm sure lots of people have by now.
So strange watching it again after all these years and what's happened since.
I've often said to people to watch it- as I think it speaks for itself and can be more effective than a direct line of argument. Anyone partly open/questioning- without blinders on, can easily come to their own conclusions from it.

I vaguely remember seeing it a year or so ago I think

while the CBBC programme is gone, there is a BBC3 programme called Leo:becoming a trans man

i don’t love that and I’ll bet it’s completely one sided, but at least it’s not a children’s programme

Melroses · 20/02/2023 16:30

"About a Girl", the interminable R4 Woman's Hour series, is hard to find these days too.🤔

WarriorNun · 20/02/2023 16:54

I've unfortunately found it, "just a girl."

However it's just occurred to me that getting rid of the Wh daily play may have been a way to avoid such shite linked to the previous woman's 45 mins.

OP posts:
Melroses · 20/02/2023 17:02

Ah - that explains why I couldn't find it. I was throwing things at the radio before I ever realised what it was all about from reading MN. Dreadful propaganda.

BemusedDad · 20/02/2023 17:07

It has also been removed from the TED channel on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/{mention:TED}

Does not appear in any searches on their channel.

When the original video first came to my attention, I could not help about the damage TED were doing to their own brand.

Not a channel I could ever take seriously again.

WarriorNun · 20/02/2023 17:10

I just remembered there was a bbc kids tv show fairly about a "trans girl" that was I think actually made in Australia.

Can anyone remember its name and if it's still there?

OP posts:
WarriorNun · 20/02/2023 17:15

Well that was easy to find!

And went jolly quickly...

Last on 2020, but i don't remember it being on much before then.

Wiki says first series was on in Australia 2020. A second was aired in 2022 which doesn't seem to have been bought in for cbbc 👍

It is more like 'I took my son's toys away until he said he was a girl to get them back'. The rest as they say, is history.
