I agree.
Although I find it even more worrying that at this point, the Labour Party and the SNP MSPs ffs, and apparently a number of political parties seem to need a code of conduct written out that is very specific, and has to cover even the most absolute basic standards that were regarded as normal expectations only a couple of decades back.
They can't do integrity, impartiality, no sense of public duty, absolutely no relationship with honesty, and after watching the MSPs grinning under banners stating death threats to voters who didn't do what they said, apparently they need all the very bits from the behaviour policy of a primary school in the contract too.
I remember reading Jon Ronsen's book about personality disorders and psychiatric disorders in political leaders: we are reaching a point where people with capacity for appropriate judgement, behaviour and basic social standards are going to need recruiting for balance.
