Sam Smith uses words as a power trip for his ego. I think it's easy to see he is attention seeking. I think it's easy to see how he lacks either empathy or respect for women. He is tone deaf to sexism but is trying to appear progressive. He dresses like a monumental wanker (I usually refrain from commenting on what people wear but when you dress up as the goth marshmallow man and expect to be taken remotely seriously, I reserve the right to let rip).
I don't like the men, his music, what he is trying to impose on others, his ego, his attention seeking, his disrespect for women, his contempt for how his actions affect others nor his politics. I certainly do not like his whining when people have the audacity to say this because he doesn't happen to like it. We are free to dislike whatever we want for whatever reason.
The fact Sam Smith makes it easy to dislike, is frankly not my fucking problem.
If he stopped and thought for half a second about his impact, and his sexism, maybe he might understand why.
