WTF is wrong with her? I notice she goes the whole article without mentioning the gender elephant in the room.

And before anyone says Salmond is a sleaze, I don't doubt it. But he is actually capable of delivering and not just campaigning and he had the skills to negotiate with Westminster.

I agree @LexMitior . People can be sleazes and able politicians.

McDermid is fully signed up to "trans women are women". There's no need to mention it.

Had the events of the last couple of weeks not happened McDermid would have been heaping praise on Sturgeon for her progressive policy, but I doubt, Adam Graham aside, McDiarmid has changed her mind.

so why does the leadership race have to happen in six weeks?

I quite like the theory that NS should not trigger the Judicial Review on S35 as she's walking out the door, that needs to be done by a new leader, and so the leadership race has to be done by April so a new leader is in place in time for the deadline for the JR.

There's a theory that it won't give Forbes time to get organised.
