I think he's probably worked out he'll survive longer in a special nonses prison unit as a man (and have like-minded fellow prisoners) than he would in a women's prison.

Kerfuffler · 18/05/2023 12:04

Apparently he told police it wasn't an abduction and he was being "motherly" (just heard on r4 news) Envy

'Gender -reassignment' is a protected category in the equalities act, and to qualify for that category you have to have either fully transitioned, or intend to fully transition.

Surely if someone says they're trans then they are. That's the way it usually works.

This person was 'transitioning'.

ArabellaScott · 18/05/2023 12:44

If they are 'transitioning' then they surely 'intend to transition'. It's all a fucking nonsense.

Whatever clothes this man wears, or name he adopts, or whatever magical process he claims to have undergone, he needs to be in a man's prison.

The BBC reporting is interesting! BBC News - Man abducted and sexually assaulted schoolgirl while dressed as woman
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-65610429

Says this person was transitioning but still explicitly refers to him as a man.

That wouldn't have happened a year or two ago.

I'm not sure it's as positive as you think. The article states the man said he wants to use "he" pronouns for simplicity but is transgender and in the process of transitioning. So really they're just going with his pronoun preferences rather than some editorial change.

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 18/05/2023 13:05

Trans women are women unless they make trans women look bad, basically.

I imagine that the BBC are trying to stop the public getting the idea that trans woman=sex offender.

Don't think I can form any non-deleteable comments on that.

Humza: "He is being held in the male estate"

'Gender -reassignment' is a protected category in the equalities act, and to qualify for that category you have to have either fully transitioned, or intend to fully transition.

So as soon as you declare to another individual that you intend to 'fully transition', you're covered. No actual transition of any sort is necessary. A man could spend the rest of his life intending to fully transition and never actually making any changes to his body, his clothing, his name or anything else. 'Gender reassignment' is a completely self-ID category under the EA2010.

ArabellaScott · 18/05/2023 13:22

Cannot confirm he'll be held in a man's prison, Humza?

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 18/05/2023 13:24

So he can comment on a live case to say the person is held in a man's prison. But he can't comment on a live case when asked if that will be the case after sentencing.

Convenient.

She said she had accepted the offer because she was cold and believed the "lady" to be non-threatening.

Which was exactly the scenario predicted by Barra Kerr in "Pronouns Are Rohypnol".

That's what I was suggesting. I was pointing out the convenient inconsistency in the BBC reporting of the case.

Shona Robison: "clearly a predatory man"

'At the time of his arrest, he was presenting as Amy George but confirmed he wished to be addressed as Andrew Miller using "he" pronouns for simplicity.
The girl later told police she had been unable to get a bus home and so started to walk when she was approached "by a lady in a car" who offered to give her a lift in a Jaguar car.
She said she had accepted the offer because she was cold and believed the "lady" to be non-threatening.'

Myra Hindley vibes.

ArabellaScott · 18/05/2023 14:17

Is she stupid or evil? Maybe both.

On what basis are you making that assessment, Shona?

Exactly. How many of us have told our children that if they are lost to find a woman to ask for help? I know I have modified what I say to be "find another mummy - a woman with children with her".

She's clearly lying and doesn't give a shit the harm it does to women and children.

These people make me sick.

And just to clarify we all know he is a predatory man.

What she is lying about is the fact that she thinks it's clear.

Whilst simultaneously stating that no man would use self ID to harm women and children.

They would and they do.

Walrussy · 18/05/2023 14:48

ResisterRex · 18/05/2023 14:14

Just once, just fucking once, I wish an interviewer would point out that this isn't about saying "all trans people are predators". The point is that men (adult human males) - whatever their declared gender identity - commit violent and sexual crime at a much, much, much greater rate than women, and therefore certain spaces need to be segregated by sex.
And that's without even including the hairy issue raised by the census that those males who identify as transgender seem much more likely than other men to be convicted of sexual offences.

Yes. She should be held to account. This bullshit nonsense that some males are above suspicion or caution has contributed to some of the problems we are seeing now. Trans people alike must be bloody raging at the stupidity of this woman, who thinks she has the right to make law based on lies, and then deny her own words without compunction. How the FUCK is she our 2nd in command? Resign, Shona, if you have a shred of decency.

OP posts:
Slothtoes · 18/05/2023 14:55

This case is absolutely sickening. That poor kid, she did all the right things, like only getting in the car with a woman.

I hope there is going to be extra punishment for the aspect of premeditated aggravating deception by that sick, male POS.
