Detransition interview on R4 PM yesterday

Did anyone else hear the interview with the detransition girl and her mum on radio 4 PM yesterday? It starts about 45 mins in if you want to catch up on bbc sounds.

I found listening to the way the mum approached it really interesting.

I caught the last few minutes, but the mother and daughter both sounded sensible and rational.

I thought so too. The daughter is autistic as well which they mentioned in the early part of the interview so I’m sure that played a part.

I think it was quite brave of the mum to not be 100% affirming and ask challenging questions when a lot of people would call her awful for that.

Ah thank you @IwantToRetire I did look for an existing one but obviously not very well!

Not to worry. I often miss existing threads. I keep thinking there must be a way mumsnet could make it easier, but not sure how!

But thought you might want to see what others have said.
