They’re out there but nowhere near the numbers of men. I’ve had a fairly typical experience of stranger male harassment during my 5+decades - public exposure/masturbation, groping, catcalling, sex talk/harassment etc etc. I count myself lucky that it’s never been worse. I’ve only had one experience of female exposure, and that was while I was at a beauty salon. A woman having a pedicure on the other side of the room had no knickers on under her (above the knee) skirt and I copped an eyeful as I happened to look up when she was moving her legs. I’m still in two minds on whether it was deliberate or whether it was bad planning from when she decided to go commando that morning that she forgot she’d be in that situation. Felt more for the beautician doing her feet to be honest.
Even so, the situation aren’t comparable. I didn’t feel threatened or disgusted by the woman, mainly a bit judgy of her lack of consideration. My reaction would have been very different had it been male genitalia.
