Hi all,

I’ve been a lurker here for many years but just registered the other day. For the first time I’m seeing the gender debate actually being properly debated outside of Mumsnet. It’s giving me hope.

For so long I read the posts on this board with growing concern. I’ve a 16 year old DD and really wondered what sort of world she would grow up in if our sex based protections were removed. It’s bad enough as it is. Society seems to be riddled with misogyny and it’s very hard to unsee once you’ve seen it.

I tried to talk to family and friends about what was happening but it would get heated and in some cases they just wouldn’t believe the lunacy around it or were #bekind. It was so disappointing and frustrating.

I know it’s not over but my tiktok is awash with this now, so is DDs, the truth of it finally being exposed.

Only for Mumsnet and all of you I would have been none the wiser so I just wanted thank you for the insightful posts, the resources and the evidence you’ve posted over the years.

Meant to add: she's 17 now, so still young and very much in the throes of social media and friend influence. However, she's really not interested in men in any way and I think that steels her resolution to stand her ground regardless of the woke warriors.

@MyBloodyMaryneedsmoreTabasco she’s very lucky to have you and that she was able to talk to you about it. Imagine looking back years from now having been deceived like that 😔.
