'Scottish Green MSPs will not take part in parliamentary business on Wednesday in solidarity with striking workers. We will not cross virtual or physical picket lines, and hope that others will join us in that.

We will always defend the rights of workers.'

So, just as Maggie's trans-women-aren't-rapists chickens come home to roost she runs away?

"Brave, brave, brave, Sir Chapman."

This!

Waitwhat23 · 30/01/2023 23:13

I can only imagine that there will be a sizeable proportion of MSP's who will relieved to have a bit of peace from the Green MSP's, to be honest.

Calyx72 · 30/01/2023 23:07

This!

I love that bit!

Merrilydancing · 30/01/2023 23:16

I have no words, didn’t think it was possible for things to get even weirder but here we are!

GCAcademic · 30/01/2023 23:17

An action that will be welcomed by many, I’m sure. But not for the reasons that the Greens might think.

LizzieSiddal · 30/01/2023 23:21

Oh what a great end to a fabulous day😂

JamMakingWannaBe · 30/01/2023 23:25

Are they going to donate a lost day's wages, plus both employer and employee pension contribution etc to the trade unions?
Doubt it.

FOJN · 30/01/2023 23:26

If only they could do the honourable thing and make it permanent.

334bu · 30/01/2023 23:28

Can't answer any awkward questions if you're not there. I think this is called a tactical retreat. The late great Magdalen Berns might have described it more colourfully

PacificallyRequested · 30/01/2023 23:28

Why, when they could just identify as striking workers and sit in parliament anyway? Confused

ArabellaScott · 30/01/2023 23:32

I wonder what they're going to do on Thursday.

Party of semi government downs tools in solidarity with workers who feel they are not paid enough by said government...

Aye, sounds like green party logic

Can we manage to woman a permanent picket line round holyrood to keep those nutters the fuck away from political decision making?

This!

Somebody please follow Chapman around with coconut shells for horse hooves

Shelefttheweb · 31/01/2023 00:45

But aren’t they part of the government that is failing to put an agreeable settlement to the strikers? Isn’t it rather insulting to virtue signal support for striking rather than ensure their own government agrees and funds a decent pay settlement? Where is the collective ministerial responsibility that Sturgeon was so keen on with Ash Reagan?

NicolaSturgeonsSOGIbottom · 31/01/2023 00:55

Gosh.

That’s a convenient bit of timing!

ResisterRex · 31/01/2023 07:16

🎶 The FM went full TERF on Monday
Died on her arse on Tuesday
I shat myself about Wednesday
I'll hide on Thursday and Friday and Saturday
Hope they don't find me by Sunday... 🎶

Valid though the other thoughts are, this.

You're either in the government or agin the government.

It's not environmentally friendly to have your cake and eat it.

Rainbowshit · 31/01/2023 07:48

Scotland would be a much better place if they just fucked off for good.

How did we lose Andy Wightman and still have vile fuckwits like Chaoman, Slater, Greer and Harvie?

Yes, how did the environmental movement lose its best fighters and end up with the bunch that are in power today? It's completely defanged, distracted and useless at best.
