The contrast between women talking about infertility, sexual offences, rape, and some of the most difficult experiences women face, contrasted with the bunch of goons wrapped in trans flags miming along to Time Warp is quite striking.

It's sick. She anticipated her own state-sanctioned rape and decided on an act of damage limitation.

I agree @Datun people are really become inured to seeing women as nothing more than props for men.

It's so fantastic to see the amount of people there, and some really brilliant signs too. They really highlight the "this is fucking common sense not hateful bigotry for fucks sake" aspect as any bystanders/people passing by who were previously unaware will be instantly peaked!

I assumed Amanda's coil was ordered by a nurse who found a way to order them in. I thought it was a compassionate thing for a nurse to do - and this thread has made me reconsider that.

And there's two strands there.

A doctor either going 'yeah, it's a reasonable belief that this woman may end up the victim of a rape and impregnation by this male inmate and I need to do something to medically protect her from at least the impregnation part since no one will do much to protect her from a rape and it's mental/physical injuries'

or a doctor going 'I don't agree this woman is at risk of being raped, but my patient's mental distress and belief that she is in danger of a rape being caused by this male inmate is assessed as such that medically I am prepared to alleviate her distress by this treatment'.

Either way.... wtf was a male doing being permitted to cause such distress to a female prisoner in a female prison? Who runs these places? Are they this absolutely devoid of feeling and care for females or are their hands tied from those above so that they are prevented from acting in their female prisoners' interests if it may upset the apple cart of a male's self belief?
