Fashion YouTuber discussing her discomfort with Trans women promoting tampons

I haven’t seen a thread highlighting this, but it was posted on YT a week ago so maybe I’ve missed it.

Frederique Bros is a fashion YouTuber with 223 thousand subscribers and she posted a video talking about trans women and NB people promoting tampons. She’s making no bones about thinking it’s wrong and the comments are largely in agreement.

This isn’t a political pundit, or activist but a woman speaking out in the mainstream. I never thought I’d see the day, so thought you might like to see too.

Same, never been asked for a tampon in a public toilet in all my years.

Just as if I was caught out in a public toilet I'd just use a toilet paper sanitary pad until I could get supplies. Not very comfortable but much less awkward.

Yep same, I'm 59 and only been asked for a pad twice in my life, both times very close friends. Not a stranger in a public loo. Maybe its and American thing, thats why that Dylan creature was apparently asked by a real woman in a toilet. But I think he is lying, and its one of his made up little spank bank stories he tells himself.

I lived in the States for years and its not an American thing.

If I thought less of women I would think that maybe they were trolling when they asked DM/other transwomen for tampons but I think its all just lies and never happened.

I think its all just inferred nonsense like when they claim to have period symptoms so bad that they're writhing about.

It’s good, but she only partly gets it. I don’t think she understands quite how much Dylan is taking the piss, and that he’s a fetishist. Women don’t get giddily excited waving tampons at the camera like that. He’s laughing in our faces, while a legion of young women fawn over him.
She talks about having no problem with the people who transition to be a “full woman”, which isn’t possible.

And as for periods being being gross and disgusting and him wanting to help us with our self hatred, it's all projection. The lot.

For many women periods are a pain, they're not gross and disgusting. You might as well say having a pee is gross and disgusting. He sounds like a sniggering schoolboy.

And it's not just tampons, I'm afraid. I've read some really quite nasty accounts of men taking used pads and wearing them to get turned on. The obvious transgression is all part of it.

And of course Dylan wasn't asked for tampons. Pure male fantasy. And it's amazing how many of them have it.

The only time I've ever been asked is by my very best friend at my house when she was staying.

I've been caught out a few times myself and would never ask randoms - over my dead body. I have been very grateful for one of those baskets of free supplies before though. I meant to write to the place and say so too - might still.

Menstruation fetish is a real thing, though of course we’re utterly evil for suggesting such a thing. If anyone hasn’t heard of JY on Twitter and is up for being truly disgusted, look him up. Endless talk about periods and tampons. And very young girls.

Just thought I’d pop back to say that she’s made another video on the topic, this time about language/ birthing people etc.

I promise I’m not her btw, am not French or as stylish 😁. I am pleased that this is becoming talked about in the mainstream.
