I have no idea whether it's true or not. Britain First's site/facebook page isn't an area of the internet I frequent.
That said, as I saw IW's post go viral on twitter (and other forms of social media), it did occur to me that any public endorsement from Britain First was likely to result in a net loss of votes for the lucky one. It's reputational poison. It also occurred to me that the leader of Britain First knew that too. What if he wanted to use his group to ensure we didn't get a black woman as prime minister?
How many members of Britain First are there? How many could there be who pay subs to the Conservative party and had the right to participate in the leadership election? Seems to me that Britain First's biggest weapon in the conservative leadership election was the negative publicity they would bring to any selected candidate. I really do think the leader(s?) could be aware of that.
So well done, all those people who desperately tried to signal their anti-racism by condemning Kemi Badenoch on the strength of IW's post. Thanks for quite possibly playing into a campaign to block a black woman from becoming prime minister, just because she was a black woman.
