I was particularly interested in this comment:

"She says she has previously worked out at co-ed gyms and never felt comfortable because it was mostly men in the facilities."

And yet STILL has no sympathy with natal women who don't feel comfortable with men there! The hypocrisy is staggering.

Very pleased to see a man, Dale Nagra, the owner of Bodyworks Fitness, sticking up for natal females.

“We want [trans] to be comfortable, but we also have to worry about the young girls that this gym is set up for and the women, and how are their parents gonna feel that they’re in there, then this person walks in with a male voice and big person,” Nagra said.

“So now you pick the comfort of the male who identifies as a woman…and then anybody can go in there saying, ‘OK, I identify as a woman, and I want to be able to go in there.’

And so, do we pick the comfort of the transgender person, and they may not be as comfortable with the co-ed gym but at least that’s an alternative, or do we pick the comfort of the young girls that are working out there that might not feel comfortable?”

This Kendall Hanson CHEK_News interview is beyond belief. The gym has a co-ed section, but this person specifically demands entrance to the woman's-only section because that would make them prove their belief that they're dealing with a "real woman"

Kendall presents this as news, not as satire, despite its eerie resemblance to Emily Howard's efforts to use the ladies' pool in Little Britain ...

What's incredible is how profoundly anti-feminist all of this is. These biological males clearly see the women around them as props whose role in life is to affirm their gender dysphoric conceits. It's a complete betrayal of women

the accusation is always that gender dissidents are engaging in "hate." But when u watch this sad little video, the dominant emotion isn't hate. It's pity. This is a confused, depressed person with many issues. But it's not women's job to become the solution for male problems

That gym guy sounds refreshingly sensible.

I think the tw is looking at legal action, if it gets the far (because tras) I don't think the gym stands a chance. Canada, or a small but powerful minority, is totally genderwoo.

But but but it's innate you just know you've always known since being young, is that not the case now? You can literally wake up one day and decide nope, I've always thought i was a guy but today i am a woman?

Why do they keep changing the rules?

Apart from how dare he tell vulnerable women to educate themselves into accepting males into female spaces.

All the women should refuse to go to that session if the TW is there. The TW must know that their presence is unwanted and making people uncomfortable, but they push ahead anyway.

Why don’t they try inserting themselves elsewhere? Perhaps in a religious institution of a religion they don’t belong to? Maybe a school? No, of course not. It’s only women who aren’t allowed to define themselves and have anything for themselves.

The TW should go to a mixed session. They can then ‘be a woman’ but not impinge on others’ rights to a single sex group. Unless of course it’s all about the validation….

The presence of the women/unwilling participants is all part of the wank fodder.

He does, but we know the Canadian Government is not sensible when it’s comes to trans issues. I hope he isn’t forced to back down.

Perhaps a couple of things need to be explained to him; 1) the women are not uncomfortable with a trans person going to their female only sessions, they are uncomfortable with a male being there. 2) Why not go to the mixed gym session because your presence at the women only session MAKES it MIXED SEX! ( Or will he only be happy if he is the only male allowed? A special validation group just for him?)

I take my hat off to that brave and sensible gym owner.

not me. I felt fear. Look at the size of him! Look how angry he is! Think of all the gyms that would happily let him in. Even the men that get it don’t get it.

Of course they felt intimidated working out with buff men, I feel intimidated working out with buff men and women, coz I'm not and nor is "Brigid" 🙄It doesn't make Brigid a woman.

My god! Not pity, not hate. Fear. There are some men a young athletic woman may feel she could run from or defend herself from but NO woman and a lot of men would lose in a fight with that person. He could kill by simply falling down on someone. How can even the most TW are vulnerable folks not see the disparities!!!

Also good on the gym owner for asking the Staniland Question. He may not know Helen coined that, but "how would you feel if it were your daughters" is exactly what needs to be said over and over.

I think he’s be a lot happier doing Dungeons and Dragons or doing medieval reenactments or something like that.

It's as if these men are locked in a 1950s timewarp were not feeling masculine enough means you are not a real man, you have a lady brain.

Why are we not just telling the Rigid Brigids of the 21st century that they are never going to be a woman and it's okay to be a non masculine man?

The gym owner who spoke sensibly is lucky that’s he’s

a) not a nurse and
b) a man

otherwise he’s be facing disciplinary action for such perfectly sensible comments.
