Even Cat Treats Are Affected

The man next door gave us these treats for our cats.
I couldn't believe the LGBT supportive message on the label.
So that's another thing for me to boycott.

As for the cat treats fiasco, I'm sorry, I know it's petty but Dreamies are such a fugly packet. Looks like the cat equivalent of Sunny D. Felix is much more sophisticatted.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/01/2023 11:35

Really?! Oh, holy moly. I didn't know cats couldn't do chocolate.

Nope. Nor can dogs. It's a stimulant and can cause heart problems.

My little girl hooved up a raisin dropped from a health bar I was eating and I went into a major panic because raisins are also highly toxic.

She was fine. I didn't get it though because she turns her little nose up at all human food including rotisserie chicken- but she'll scoff a raisin that is poisonous to her.

SunThroughTheCloudsAt6am · 12/01/2023 11:37

Really?! Oh, holy moly. I didn't know cats couldn't do chocolate. Mine drank the remains of the kids' breakfast coco hoops milk yesterday and seems totally fine. She is powered on pure spite, though.

yeah, like dogs they can't have it, and girlcat would never be interested - cat food, pond-water, the occasional treat or lick of pate is all she wants. Boy cat really isn't that bright though, and will give anything a go it turns out.

I googled, and the amount of whatever the stuff is they can't have wasn't enough to kill him, but was definitely enough to have an effect, so we're extra careful and put a bucket over the chocolate fountain when it's cooling now.

IcakethereforeIam · 12/01/2023 11:52

Erm, cats are lactose intolerant too. Bloody lactophobic, furry bastards.

WarningToTheCurious · 12/01/2023 11:52

Maybe Dreamies are targeting the furries?

ArabellaScott · 12/01/2023 11:53

Looking at cat. She's glaring right back at me. Utterly unperturbed.

And Newcastle

WandaWomblesaurus · 12/01/2023 12:51

My male cat has been castrated.
Does that make her a she now?

WandaWomblesaurus · 12/01/2023 12:52

Dreamies are full of shit though if you look at the ingredients.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/01/2023 12:56

Tell that to my cats! They won't listen though.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 12/01/2023 12:57

A eunuch more like.

Florissant · 12/01/2023 13:16

I'm never buying Dreamies again. Sorry, FlorissantCat.

Mine has been eating the underside of my mattress I've just discovered so I totally get it 🤣🤣🤣

LGBT Foundation, "Sophie Labelle" and Mermaids:

twitter.com/lgbtfdn/status/981501642448211968?s=46&t=KXBq4gvOdCVKWyXpb39WAA

LGBT Foundation, MORF, and posting binders to children in secret:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6450485/Trans-activists-send-free-breast-binders-13-year-olds.html

LGBT Foundation, desexing maternity care, and advocating for misleading terms like "chest feeding" or "body feeding":

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10762815/NHS-urged-use-terms-chestfeeding-frontal-birth-instead-breastfeeding-vaginal-birth.html

I see a lot of trampling over boundaries and safeguarding, but can't see a link with cats.

Any sources other than the daily mail?

NeighbourhoodWatchPotholeDivision · 12/01/2023 14:24

I thought you'd departed to post full time on that New Zealand site you keep mentioning. It's not like you to be so finicky over sources, Pie. You once linked a tabloid newspaper article about a Mr Blobby parody account on twitter without even reading your own link!

NeighbourhoodWatchPotholeDivision · 12/01/2023 14:28

For anyone else who can't be bothered to click the topmost link, that is LGBT Foundation's own twitter account. Not parody.

Even Cat Treats Are Affected
ResisterRex · 12/01/2023 14:36

They didn't deny the core allegations in the Mail:

twitter.com/lgbtfdn/status/1069018857522761731?s=46&t=YQA59alBCy3eBV1ny9_Q5Q

And they published the report and put it online, which is how - erm - a free press was able to read it and report on it:

lgbt.foundation/news/revealed-improving-trans-and-non-binary-experiences-of-maternity-services-items-report/475

The "Sophie Labelle" and Mermaids tweet was also their own work.

LaughingPriest · 12/01/2023 14:45

Was going to say, Mags doesn't understand the concept of 'sources'. One link is an LGBT tweet and another tells you where to find the report it's summarising.

Love how that's the thing Mags focused on in a thread about Dreamies!

ResisterRex · 12/01/2023 14:47

Certainly seems to have touched a nerve.

MargaritaPie · 12/01/2023 18:18

Anyway if it's of any interest this thread is making mumsnet a laughing stock on twitter

And Newcastle

A mere three miles from me; it's North Tyneside, rather than Newcastle, if you care for pedantry...

It's okay, Margarita. Your secret Mumsnetter account is safe with us; we'll never tell.

Just look at it as compensation for the obviously planted thread that got pulled.
