Police investigate 'flasher' gender recognition reform protester

While critics shouted “shame on you” at the MSPs. One woman lifted their skirt and showed what initially appeared to be her genitals.

The woman shouted, “if you are not going to be decent, I am going to be indecent.”

However, it later transpired that she had been wearing some form of fake pubic wig.

According to the Scotsman, police did not arrest the individual immediately, however, the force has since received complaints and enquiries are ongoing.

I still can't believe how the police are out there publicly promoting dog gimp fetishism and there isn't a massive public outcry.

I know like how can't they see that that's not inclusivity that's allowing a man in a leather dog suit and a collar and lead get sexually aroused in a public place

ErrolTheDragon · 28/12/2022 00:17

A bucket of water might have been a more appropriate response.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 28/12/2022 05:02

ITRAs have been mass reporting her to her governing body for offences against children and people with PTSD. I’m registered with HCPC and they are totally captured. She might be in real trouble.

BezMills · 28/12/2022 08:43

these people would hound a woman out of her job in female healthcare. They don't care one bit about female women, clearly.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 28/12/2022 08:49

Ist class men
2nd class women, who are male
3rd class, if something even more oppressed than man doesn't leapfrog us, women of the female cunty kind.

This. It's always been the endgame for many TRAs.

I think you might be right.

It will obviously afford the media ample opportunity to not only mercilessly lampoon gender ideology, but also show up the transparent double standards and all the batshit.

But Elaine being a casualty will be the price.

I'm just here to let you all know that apparently Elaine's merkin has pockets 😂

Swoons.

See a designer can design wearable items with pockets. It's not such an insurmountable task. Are you listening Gucci, Ralph Lauren,

It’s a breach of the peace at least. I personally thought it was crass and did us gc women more harm than good.

Ah yes. Crass.

An angry woman telling politicians in parliament that their own crassness deserved only a crass response. Using an age old female insult without actually committing a crime.

Until those who truly believe that women should at all times be sweet smelling, gentle of tongue and utterly accepting of whatever crumbs are let fall in their direction choose to speak up and condemn her.

For being crass in the face of political machinations that would directly and inevitably increase the rate of physical and sexual harm to women.

Sit down. Try thinking!

DialSquare · 28/12/2022 10:34

I said it earlier on this thread and I'll say it again now. Is it a coincidence that the signatures on the Update the Equality Act petition have significantly increased since this happened. I think not, so do not believe it has harmed our cause at all.

SinnerBoy · 28/12/2022 10:56

Screaming like a nutter and exposing a fake Fanny (as many have said) is obviously not helpful to anyones cause. Especially when we are campaigning for privacy and dignity for women. It’s childish and stupid and makes no intelligent point.

She has committed no crime.
She has drawn attention to this piece of insanity most effectively.
Her work is done.

She didn't hem it at the top, which meant the white edge of the fun-fur base fabric was visible.

Are we back to crimes of haberdashery again?

It makes the point that women see what's being done by activists and politicians, and how it harms us. That we won't accept it. That we matter.

Mine is currently well tended.

My comment on realism was in regards to choosing a merkin that matched her hair colour, sewing it to sheer tights that match her skin tone, cutting the merkin to approximately a full 1970s bush triangle shape proportional to her body size, and the merkin fur length was not unusually long…no long scraggly beard look.

She could have chosen a merkin in a bright neon colour, or a feathered one, or one that has dangly braids or beads in it. She could similarly have chosen tights of a different nonnatural colour as well. She could have cut the merkin into a different shape too.

As we are apparently sharing (hope no one recognises themselves now)
Mine is umm part manicured, but not for several weeks so its growing out.

I am old, I have seen fartoo many 70s bushes, even the err largest most unkempt one never looked like the merkin we are discussing (also no pockets, sigh, cool idea)

And no matter if she had gone for high contrast tights and merkin in violent colours, it would have been wrong. I thought your original complaint was that she flashed at all not the colourway.

Course it hasn't.

No-body looking at that woman is going to think that she isn't wildly passionate and desperately concerned over the issue she's protesting against.

That's all you need.

People to ask, what's up? What's up with that woman? Why is she so fuming and upset? And, way more importantly, why are people trying to get her arrested?

An abiding characteristic of the trans ideology is that its proponents think other people are fucking idiots.

Projection, innit.

CriticalCondition · 28/12/2022 11:51

I've completely revised my opinion on this. My first, instinctive reaction was hmm, that's a bit silly, risks making 'us' look daft when we are the rational ones with all the common sense and reason on our side. And to be honest, somewhere deep down my social conditioning was telling me it was a bit, you know, unladylike. 😳
But I've thought about it a good bit more. And if it brings this issue attention that is a good thing. Letters to MPs, petitions, court cases. They are important but frankly to a lot of people they are boring. Really boring. Flashing a merkin in the Scottish parliament, not boring. Definitely not boring.

Elaine is a professional. I am sure she has weighed up what this might mean. I really, really hope she is not sanctioned by her governing body. But if she is, this could be another Maya or Allison.

I agree with that entirely. It's been an excellent way of drawing attention to the shit show.

Very true Datun. One of the many things they are wrong about.

Designer merkins for the Fall/Winter Collection 2023. (Still won't have pockets though)

Worth noting on the newspaper articles featuring the merkin-flashing, people were not discussing the merits or otherwise of said merkin. They were discussing the law that has been passed.

OmiOmy · 28/12/2022 17:10

Arabella. Surprised they didn't catch on.

ArabellaScott · 28/12/2022 17:12

They'd probably catch on your zip, at least.

Ramblingnamechanger · 28/12/2022 19:55

One thing Elaine carefully avoided was a merkin in rainbow hues…
