Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Is there any democracy that is not in thrall to the gender ideologues?

It's like the Western world has lost its marbles. Dictatorships and theocratic countries are bad news for women, anyway. Is there any democractic country that still recognises women to be adult human females excludively?

Great discussion - there's a reason ideologies target children. Why were children in care (isolated and estranged from their families) so swiftly targeted in the early days by trans individuals and groups for "education" about their flawed bodies that need fixing.
Look at the deliberate targeting of the civil service (especially the DfE) by Stonewall and other groups. Open access to schools subsequently granted by the captured civil servants in open defiance of the Nolan principles and the legislation that protects children from political indoctrination. Trans individuals performing in front of schoolchildren and teachers, openly selling the born in the wrong body mantra and nobody raises any objections - because it's all DfE sanctioned.

And now we have a generation of children believing people can change sex and it's wrong to state the real truth.

India - the largest democracy seems to be immune.

? India is totally captured and in thrall to genderist ideology.

Like many other places with an appalling track record on women’s rights.

I ask again is Italy captured? I know its' new government is very right leaning but it's still a democracy?

Here is the speech by the new prime minister:

Why is the family an enemy?… Because it is our identity… so they attack national identity, they attack religious identity, they attack gender identity, they attack family identity. I can’t define myself as Italian, Christian, woman, mother. No. I must be citizen x, gender x, parent 1, parent 2. I must be a number. Because when I am only a number, when I no longer have an identity or roots, then I will be the perfect slave at the mercy of financial speculators. The perfect consumer.

Many will object to the Christian focus, and I confess myself totally ignorant to anything else that is going on there, but I can't see any anti-woman legislation getting through there at the mo if this is the overall philosophy of the new government.

Also Greece?
Slovakia?
Slovenia?
Romania?
Belgium?

Its funny I actually would expect there to be a negative correlation, not a positive one. The more traditional and conservative, the less embracing of gender woo.

Surprised about India in that case. Doomed. We're doomed.

Oooh I would apologise for my earlier outburst but writing my last post and the memory of the bloody site with the portaloo and " Oh come on Boiled we're just having a laugh, what's the matter can't you take a joke? " Trevor, and his mates, every time I went to the loo (unsurprisingly the same site with the wear a skirt boss) It suddenly dawned on me exactly why the toilet issue fucks me off so very very much!I

So, sorry, not sorry.

I'm spending Christmas with family in Scotland. Conversation turned to a footballer who was dating a transwoman so, being unable to keep my mouth shout, I said "So he's gay then". The responses were interesting. My BIL who is a very left wing academic looked very disapproving, my 20 year old niece disagreed with me, my Dsis didn't want to talk about it. The only one who agreed with me was my 17 year old nephew. I'm not really sure what that says but thought that the variety of responses shows how difficult it is to hold any discussion on the issue.

I tend to think that one of the reasons it has so taken over in the west is not just that many leaders have kids and youth in their families who they feel they must support - it is the general worship of youth and youth culture.

And right along with that is the myth of progress, and the idea that somehow the next generation has this window on the truth and will help usher it in, while the old fogies wallow in the darkness.

Many non-western societies have less of this youth worship, they are not only more conservative, but more traditional, and much more respectful of the elders in their societies.

I ca't help but think that if our society was more used to having older people tell younger ones that they need to listen to the wisdom of their elders, political leaders would not feel so pushed to support the young people they know who are affected b gender ideology.
