Continuation of Thread 1

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions, grr"- that sort of thing).

It definitely makes you admire the can do trial and error approach to procreation taken by the earlier generations, before the tools to do these measurements we're designed.

Britinme · 03/01/2023 16:00

I wish I'd seen that one!

And farmers in the olden days were clearly geniuses! How did they ever figure out which ones to milk?

StephanieSuperpowers · 03/01/2023 16:05

They probably followed the lead of the psychic calf, which somehow just seemed to use some sixth sense to know.

Oh, I posted on that thread. When I read 'Bingo' I thought it was the nonbinary vicar one.

Patrooshka1 · 03/01/2023 17:11

Bingo was his name-o.

IcakethereforeIam · 03/01/2023 17:14

Their name-oSmile

Oh, I posted on that thread. When I read 'Bingo' I thought it was the nonbinary vicar one.

I have to say cake it's very civilised in the actual non binary vicar one. I'm not sure if it will last but it's a rather bizarre experience having an ACTUAL conversation, partly about the vicar but Currently about the beauty of Adam ant.

I feel it's parallel parallel universe in there. It what this one actually used to be like.

Very discombobulating.

IcakethereforeIam · 03/01/2023 17:21

I know, I stayed away from it. I thought it'd be a bit of a shitstormBlushbut then I had a look and it's rather lovely.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 03/01/2023 18:10

I must have a look. If nothing else, I can agree on the beauty of Adam Ant.

Boiledbeetle · 03/01/2023 18:32

@BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn you might want to nip in quick, I'm not sure the truce is going to hold much longer.

IcakethereforeIam · 03/01/2023 18:42

I've got 'Bingo was his name-o' as an earworm now.

Is this where I'm glad i don't have kids

IcakethereforeIam · 03/01/2023 19:13

Nope, nah, nuh-uh, definitely not going there!

B-I-N-D-A.....!? Oh yeah, that thread that was trending.

IReallyLikeCrows · 03/01/2023 20:20

Adam Ant was so beautiful. I wonder what he looks like now. I might have to find me that thread.

duc748 · 03/01/2023 20:44

Did you watch Northern Exposure, Crows?

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 03/01/2023 22:35

Here's how he looked fairly recently: www.classicpopmag.com/2019/10/adam-ant-interview-friend-or-foe/

IReallyLikeCrows · 04/01/2023 00:05

@BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn he's even more beautiful if that's possible. He looks like what Johnny Depp wishes he saw in the mirror instead of the nasty misogynist piece of shit he actually does see.

I'm going to read that article tomorrow. I'm still reading the Bingo thread because I went off. did other stuff, then got interested in a link on the thread.

@duc748 I did watch it on and off. Was he ever in it? It rings a bell but my brian doesn't work so good these days.

duc748 · 04/01/2023 01:04

@IReallyLikeCrows

Yeah, he had quite a key role in it towards the end (when it was past its best IMO), in a role that seemed close to his mental health at the time. But hey, it was a long time ago, and I was probably stoned. I did love that show, though.

Excellent. Finally a way for ladies in the prime of life to fulfil our youthful potential.

Same group of people who coined MAP Minor Attracted People.

Oh look at the fluffy initials, let's all be kind to the pervert.😑

And if anyone sees me commenting on the trans age one send me to a time out because I don't think I'll be able to keep my gob shut once I start.

And I don't want to be banned forever

I'm so glad I'd had my blood pressure meds before I read this - well, the first half of it, anyway: novaramedia.com/2022/12/24/how-i-deradicalised-my-terf-mum/
