Canadian drag queen 'Jimbo' is touring the UK in January. Shows are advertised as for 14+, so suitable for children. Seem to be shows in London, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and others.

It's scanky, but I do think 14 is not an unusual age to consider teens ready for more adult (though not x-rated) material. I remember watching Robin Williams stand-up a little younger than that, which had quite a lot of adult material, for example.

And this.... I had already gone to bat on this on Twitter. To be told that Jimbo's antics are all self expression and lovely and that I am a total hag for speaking against Jimbo's luvverliness!

I'm not going to defend Jimbo, I've seen him on TV and he has made me laugh at times, although I'm not at all comfortable with all of his act. No, I don't think his live show should be 14+. It is adult entertainment.

But these dates are part of an established circuit for RuPaul's Drag Race contestants and I've noticed before the 14+ doors whoever the entertainer is. So I'm not minded to think this is Jimbo's call so much as an ongoing thing with promoters and venues.
