I just asked for the link and pin and I also included my name & address, but I'm not sure if that is necessary.

It seems that Aedan and Jack-are friends, possibly partners?

Is Jack the one who's on honeymoon?!!!

Thanks Bread but there is only one tweet there….from early today.

FriendofJoanne · 14/07/2023 16:02

Tribunal Tweets has stopped updating for me about 7 minutes ago - anyone else?

FriendofJoanne · 14/07/2023 16:05

Aha now they post that there was a 10 minute break - the tweets stopped mid NC sentence though!

HellonHeels · 14/07/2023 16:27

Im wondering where the judge is going with the query about Stonewall interpretation and the actual law of EA10

HellonHeels · 14/07/2023 16:28

"we were not obliged to call the original complainant" Well I bet they were relieved about that!

Boiledbeetle · 14/07/2023 16:33

They should have been obliged to call the original complainant! It would have been interesting to see what they had to say!

You do have to wonder how many potentially abusive situations are not being properly dealt with atm because SW are too scared to raise safeguarding issues in cases that involve males who claim to be a women. It really does appear that there are no conversations going on in the SW world and this case really highlights why that might be. GC SWs must think they have to be completely in the closet or risk losing their registration.

I have read somewhere that a large number of children presenting at GIDS had a sex offender as a parent. I wonder how thoroughly THAT was investigated, or was it just glossed over in case it made the nonces sad?

*The Forstater judgement probably changed the history of this country. Without it I dare not think how many more women would have been silenced or sacked.

I honestly think It's going to one of those cases that gets studied long after we are all long gone*

Absolutely

My family lived through this with me. They supported family money going into Maya’s crowdfunder, and others’ afterward. Maya’s initial loss and subsequent appeal victory were, we knew, what it felt like to be living through history.

We were little people made big by those beautiful scales of justice.

Gawd bless Terf Islanders, and Lady Justice.

TheBiologyStupid · 14/07/2023 17:19

Oops, *but IADNAL

I’m always surprised how long tribunal judgements take, I’m used to the family courts.

That’s an awful wait for Rachel, on top of how long it’s taken to get this far. Why does it take so long? Is it getting court time ?

It's SO awful it's such a long wait - no consideration for the stress and mental health of the complainant. It's fine for large organisations, but this is a human being, under immense pressure. I don't think it's OK and it's a lot bloody worse than being 'offended' by 40 people possibly seeing a link to a petition. We truly are in the upside down.

I am offended by the wait for justice.

Hopefully there will be some publicity about the tribunal tweets and insane comments by SWE which will help her crowdjustice to grow prior to the judgement.

AutumnCrow · 14/07/2023 17:30

I’m donating again, that’s for sure. Solid win; solid appeal win.

Yes, thank you Rachel and the magnificent TT and @ickky also...

Already finding things I can't quite believe in today's summary.

SC

'coming into this case late myself, I was struck by the fact that all witnesses have given evidence in a helpful and open way. Their demeanour was everything the tribunal might have wished for. '

What, apart from actually answering any of the questions put to them? And there not being key witnesses? How is that 'helpful'?

Manderleyagain · 14/07/2023 18:03

It was mentioned that Jack and aeden might know each other, or be friends, but what was the evidence for that?

Tribunal tweets did amazingly.

What a wait for Rachel. But from the tweets of submissions her case sounded a lot stronger than the other side, so let's hope it's worth the wait!

I wonder why the barrister was brought into the case late?

The lack of evidence to the contrary seems to be the evidence.

If they're was no link I'm sure the other side would have made that very very clear. But unless i missed it they didn't.
