I certainly can't remember everything that went on but I do recall at least one crowdfunding was pulled and then someone set up a fake one in her name and I think it ended up that people had to donate direct to a PayPal account or similar. Meaning no one can know how much was donated.
And no, I don't care if she subsequently pisses that up the wall because they drop the case.
And most donors recognise that they are giving to these funding appeals without the recipient having any obligation to account for the sums received and how they are spent. Given the cost of legal assistance I doubt there is much left over and if someone who has been put under great stress, whose livelihood has been threatened, who necessarily had many other extraneous expenses associated with the action such as childcare whilst attending police stations etc if excess funds are used elsewhere or on a celebratory trip to the Maldives at the end of it all they are welcome as far as I am concerned. I believe most genuine donors feel the same.
