I can't quite work out what is going on here, is it saying she's taken £50k of crowdfunder money or she stole it from the accounting firm she worked for?

It's saying there is a police investigation. If the police find anything we'll find out about any allegations then.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is in some way targeted.

I smell a targeted smear campaign from certain corners to especially with the way that article has been written and the headline. However I will wait on the police "investigation" to conclude before I say anything else

I see Man at Bus Stop is back on Twitter getting a kick out of this. The Courier article doesn't have much info about the alleged offence and spends more time demonising MM's tweets and setting the scene for some kind of villain in advance. Certainly seems as if more facts are needed at this stage. But when has that ever stopped them.

My faith in the police has been very badly shaken by the many, many horrific stories coming out of the Met and now Gwent. Nothing would surprise me now.

I’m genuinely interested in knowing which of my assumption(s) were wrong as every non white working class non British person I know are very vary of the police and have good personal reasons why they are.

The other possibility that crossed my mind is that crowdfunding sites keep letting women down, usually after considerable sums have been donated.

Anyway doubtless, if there’s anything there (and even if there isn’t) we’ll be hearing about it at high volume for a very long time to come.

Wasn't there a poster on here that was intent on smearing Marion's name and tried to accuse her of misappropriation of funds? I'm old but my memory is usually fairly reliable.
The way the police are going at the moment all anyone has to do is ring them up and accuse and the woman will be arrested.

There was, cant remember the details but this feels like more of the same.

I I know when I donated to her fund I did so on the understanding that my donation was to support her in her fight and as such was to be used in any way she saw fit, whether that was legal fees or a riotous night out I didn’t care

The police dont start investigations unless they are given (fed) information. So there is every possibility as we know this has happened to other women that the police are told x or y about someone and they have to investigate.

It is now an established pattern of using police to harass GC women.

This doesn't mean I think the police are perfect.

We can only hope whoever is in charge of the investigation carries it out free of any influence in attitude towards the person being investigated.

At the time of her fundraising it was very difficult with repeated attempts to block established fund raising platforms from accepting her appeal. IIRC there was also a fake account set up in her name so that donations went to someone other than herself.

This smells of ongoing harassment to me.

Paisley, Comerford and Co have been going on about Marion Millar for ages now. Paisley is particularly stinging from the fact the case against her was dropped and has been gagging to bring her down ever since. Interesting he is back on Twitter (again), just as this comes up, prepare for a barrage of Marion Millar tweets!

Tbh, I just don't really care......like even if MM was found guilty of fraud of thousands of pounds, I still wouldn't think that men can become women, that any man who wants to use female provision should be allowed to do so, or that kids should be pumped with powerful hormone altering drugs?
