Why are they using 'Feminists' in their title?

I saw this on LinkedIn and thought it might be an interesting role from the title. The role outline then confused me rather! They may be a well known organisation but I've never heard of them.

No, NC which is sad - wish I could shout about it but last time I put something on fb it wasn't pretty. I'm probably quite traceable on here under my usual name tbh as been here many years. I know it's not everyone's favourite thread but I reckon the Elderly Korean woman was a feminist......

I genuinely read the title and was interested - I have professional qualifications and experience on Boards etc so seemed interesting.

It just shocked me when I read on and it really felt like feminist had been 'stolen'. I appreciate you can't steal words so perhaps misappropriated but made me think 'wtf' and am now cross. I guess I'm used to to the lobby trying to appropriate the use of woman, mother, daughter but first time I'd seen this. Feels like 'hiding in plain sight' to use this in their title.

I've been reading the Norwegian tweet thread and there are some fabulous one liners in there which I think I need to practice saying!

My friend's spouse should apply - think- tank experience, privately educated, Oxbridge graduate, father of two, and now nonbinary. Wd massively increase their diversity profile.

Lots of mumsnetters on the FWR boards have commented from time to time about having no gender, and will therefore qualify as gender diverse.

ConfusedGC it all comes over as very weird as there’s no such company on the Companies House website.

Their website seems completely opaque on what they actually do. Their only purpose, that I can see, is to 'talk about equality for all genders'.

It's notable how many of these new style 'feminists' don't want to actually do anything about women's rights, just talk about it. I recall one of them accusing Julie Bindel of not having achieved anything for women because she'd never tweeted some particular hashtag.
