Suffragette colours

Anyone who works in the CS and wears Green, purple, white colours to the office? I rarely go in but will be in a few weeks. I have this scarf and now I am doubting whether I should wear it. Wonder whether the sewn in tag would be a no no?

Well, it was made clear in the Scottish Parliament today that you would be absolutely entitled to wear it!
(I’m thinking of getting one myself - is it soft or a bit scratchy?)

If anyone complains about a woman wearing the symbol of women who campaigned for fair and equal representation in our democracy ... then they've proved that it's still necessary for women to continue that campaign.

BTW, I learned recently that the colours Green, White and Violet were chosen because Give Women the Vote.
Never knew that before.

That is nice because it’s silk, so more useful indoors.

Apparently it was designed as a genderqueer flag - by someone who had no idea about the suffragette flag and obviously didn't bother to do much research. 🙄

indeed. I am quite aware of who, in my little corner of the CS would complain about “micro aggressions” were they to spot me wearing such a scarf. It would give me the greatest of pleasure to respond to a formal complaint - for surely there would be one - with a copy of the receipt.

In the office I wear a very pretty beaded lanyard in green, white and violet. Or peridot, amethyst and crystal if people are being snotty. I wear it with a white silk shirt with a green pattern, a green cardigan and an amethyst coloured scarf

Maybe if we started wearing scarves, lanyards etc on Teams calls or in the office, we can start spotting each other and not feel alone!

I have an Alison Moorre stacking ring. Now debating on asking for an emerald for Christmas and an amethyst for my birthday to go with a white sapphire I have!

I’ve got the chiffon one which is soft.

I have the Standing for Women one but it seems to be out of stock.

I can see one on eBay but it’s a bit basic.
