From the DM: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11392601/Transgender-paedophile-caught-duping-staff-71-day-stay-domestic-violence-refuge.html

A paedophile duped staff into letting her stay at a domestic violence refuge for women and children for 71 days.

She sexually assaulted a ten-year-old girl in a supermarket toilet and secretly filmed another in 2018 and has been in court several times since.

A refuge guest and mum of three said that as a victim of sexual abuse, the situation was 'triggering'.

She said she came to the refuge with her children as she thought it was somewhere safe and that it was horrendous discovering a paedophile had been living there for months.

The mum added: 'I saw her several times hanging around where the prams are parked, she is tall and skinny with long brown hair and always wore a blue surgical mask. The whole thing makes my skin crawl.

@YelenaBlackWidow I think you need to read some TRA twitter if you've never come across that point of view before!

I think its an easy mistake to make especially as you said parole as well

Nope.

Do you mean national insurance number?

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 05/11/2022 20:27

Right, I'm not really on that side of Twitter. Is there anyone in particular or are we not allowed to link to twitter on here?

YelenaBlackWidow · 05/11/2022 20:29

Right, National Insurance number, that's the one thanks. I obviously watch too watch and read American fiction. What's the British word for parole?

Thats really not very convincing 😀

YelenaBlackWidow · 05/11/2022 20:32

Lol I'm pretending to be British? Honestly I am, I'm just tired and haven't ever needed to have a real life conversation about NI numbers or 'parole' funnily enough!

No such thing as a National Security number in the UK.

Did you mean National Insurance number?

I bet Women's Aid don't ask those trying to get into a refuge what their NI number is.

NewBootsAndRanty · 05/11/2022 20:37

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 05/11/2022 20:38

Funnily enough, I HAVE had real life conversations about release on license.

The police rang and warned me that my violent ex was out of prison on licence after 12 months of his three year sentence for DV, had declined police transport to his arranged accommodation and hadn't turned up there.
I pretty much locked myself in my house for a week til they picked him up.

Lucky you that you've never had to have that kind of conversation.

NewBootsAndRanty · 05/11/2022 20:58

Thanks, and sorry, I'm a bit prickly at times..
I'm safe for now - afaik he gets out in 18 months though and I'm trying not to think too hard about it.

Fingers crossed there's space at Leeds WA if I need it next time..

That's okay, understandable. Could you change your address so he doesn't know where you live, go ex directory and lock down or delete your social media. I know you shouldn't have to 😔

YelenaBlackWidow · 05/11/2022 19:40

@PriOn1 they would have been admitted had they used their real ID had they not had convictions, as they were in separate Trans accommodation, admittedly with a shared garden. When they discovered the convictions, the person was arrested, I'm not sure on what charge, possibly parole violation?

Yes, and before they opened the accommodation (partly separate or otherwise) to males, they would not have admitted this male predator.

Being male is the strongest indicator we have for who will be a sexual predator. Anyone admitting males to a women’s shelter where there are also children is responsible every single time a male predator sexually abuses one of the women or children, who were previously kept safe by responsible safeguarding, where male people over a certain age were excluded.

No need to complicate it by suggesting this is about false documents. It’s about letting men in.

Clymene · 05/11/2022 21:26

Any man - regardless of his gender identity - poses a risk to women. The only way to keep vulnerable women safe is to make refuges women only.

Men like Dolatowski will exploit every single avenue to access victims. He is a predator.

PriOn1 · 05/11/2022 21:32

Who is it that's maintaining it doesn't happen when it obviously does.

There is constant denial from transactivists that “trans women” i.e. men who claim they are women, are a risk to women. Men who claim they are women are not the problem, apparently and can be trusted in women’s spaces, where other men are not allowed.

Which isn’t true if you look at criminal behaviour as men who claim they are women continue to show male rates of offending. Saying “I’m a women” doesn’t stop a man from showing very typical male behaviour patterns. Why would it?

YelenaBlackWidow · 05/11/2022 22:00

@PriOn1 they received funding to open a separate trans shelter. Document checks would have prevented a convicted person gaining access. It's fundamental. It basic safeguarding, it's not acceptable to exclude them all from a shelter funded and set up specifically for them. What's the 'certain age'? If I need to access a shelter and my son is 12? 14? 16? Where's the safeguarding check then? If it's men that's the danger why can I shelter with my son?
