Well if being a woman has nothing to do with your body, it makes one wonder why some trans people obsess about changing their body to the opposite ummm........opposite 'thing' (sorry, we don't have a word to describe sexes any more).

I guess because some trans people hate the way they look and long to look the way they feel.

If you had a growth that you didn't like the look of, you'd want it removed even though it won't change who you are on the inside. Many women want their breasts rebuilt after a mastectomy or shave off their body hair, we all have something about our bodies we'd change. And if I had a penis or even just a penis looking growth, I'd want it removed! Wouldn't you?

There's a difference between hating the way you look and hating a growth on your body.

One is about a physical attribute and the other is a body image.

When our minds tell us things about our bodies, we should question if it is the body or the mind which needs to change or if at all any change is required before altering either one. Rash action would lead to actual damage of either the mind or the body or both.

I thought most transwomen were keeping the penis anyhow? I don’t think the penis is the problem. It’s the accepting of everything else without argument that’s the issue.

Most if not all trans people have perfectly healthy, normally functioning bodies. The fact that they hate it, or want parts added or removed is a mental health issue, not a medical issue. Not the same as having a growth that doesn't belong on a healthy body, or very large breasts that cause back pain amongst other issues.

The difference is that instead of having parts removed or added to 'cure them' their condition should be treated with therapy to accept the normal, healthy body that they have?

Lol if a woman had a penis like growth growing between her legs there’d be a very good medical reason to have it removed. The same cannot be said for a perfectly functioning penis on a person who was born with it.

So @BeanieTeen would you send an anorexic to weight watchers or send them for liposuction ? If not, why would you agree that someone should have healthy body parts removed because they feel they are wrong?
