Not sure if it is today or next week. Do we know if this is open like the tribunals?

Mermaids can't possibly win.

chilling19 · 12/09/2022 15:41

Great! AR has got to the point - that the 500+ organisations of the consortium don't represent same sex attracted people.

So I am sure she has made the case that LGBA needs to exists.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:43

Now discussing the infamous BBC article about coercion of lesbians to have sex with transwomen.

Not to mention viewing the main purpose of a child as being to grow up to be useful in providing sexual pleasure. Words bloody fail. 😣

No concern there for whether the affected children can grow up to have fulfilling sex lives as adults, is there? It's all about how they can used to provide sexual pleasure to other people.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:45

Veronica Ivy tweet mentioned: it's transphobic to have a genital preference.

chilling19 · 12/09/2022 15:47

I wish AR would ask Roberts if he disagreed with Stonewall

As the witness is demonstrating right now, the political ideology is based on demands made of others for non reciprocal values such as respect, self definition, inclusion, etc.

You could argue that it is largely about seeing others in terms of their usefulness and dividing society into givers and takers, with a lot of rage if a designated resource/service provider happens to want to be recognised as an equal, sentient human with the same equality of rights.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:47

Now it's the cotton ceiling.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 12/09/2022 15:48

AR's raised the Cotton Ceiling...

ImherewithBoudica · 12/09/2022 15:51

This is nicely establishing (again) that the TQ+ political movement is incompatible with women's rights and with homosexuality.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:51

It's a good case being built up: there's much that is contested, there are reasonable gender critical views, the LGBT establishment has told gender critical people they're not welcome and in fact are hateful/like racists and should be shunned, so what is wrong with an entity like LGB being a charity to represent gender critical people with the reasonableness of their views confirmed by the Bailey case?

Riley Dennis is next up in the parade of nonsense.

Yes, I agree. AR is doing a sterling job here.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:54

AR: Is it transphobic for someone to say I won't have sex with people with penises.

Roberts won't answer.

ArabellaScott · 12/09/2022 15:54

Woah.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:55

Eventually he sort of conceded the point because he could see how awful it looked.

ArabellaScott · 12/09/2022 15:56

Imagine putting yourself in the position where you are obliged to argue these disgusting arguments.

chilling19 · 12/09/2022 15:58

Well, so far my various fivers and tenners for Maya, Allison and LGBA have been worth every penny.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 15:58

AR coined the phrase "the LGBT activism tree". In other words, a monolith with the implication that if Mermaids prevail, the court would have to agree that organisations existing outside of the monolith shouldn't be permitted.

ImherewithBoudica · 12/09/2022 15:59

I'm out of all sympathy.

It didn't have to be like this. This political lobby group have chosen to be this intolerant, to demand that women's rights and homosexual people's rights be overthrown to favour their beliefs instead of a position of mutual tolerance.

They are going to have to be put back in their box. It's long past time.

PastaForLife · 12/09/2022 15:59

I get paid this week. I’ll be doing some gardening for the LGBA.

Signalbox · 12/09/2022 16:00

This witness is really struggling with the hypothetical questions isn't he?

dworky · 12/09/2022 16:00

This man has not spent a single minute of his life considering lesbians.

nauticant · 12/09/2022 16:00

AR: Why isn't your organisation concerned about lesbians being put under pressure to drop their sexuals boundaries?

chilling19 · 12/09/2022 16:01

Dismissing the BBC!
