Roberts really dislikes the phrase "same sex attraction" because it's exclusionary. LGBA counsel taking him through why being exclusionary is the whole point.

Clearly Roberts thinks that LGBT is a monolith and anything that can disrupt that monolithic concept must be avoided.

I don't think so. Stonewall's "homogenderal" definition is just not a useful definition that reflects reality, and hence doesn't serve Bev and Kate's needs. But not liking that definition isn't about their "values".

Roberts has effectively said that everyone has their own gender. He was asked how can homosexuality then be "same gender" attraction when everyone has their own individual one. His response is we don't live in a binary world.

Roberts won't engage with the suggestion that a lesbian couple can have a butch and a femme because the question is based on stereotyping.

So in effect he believes in controlling and preventing people from upsetting non binary others by being homosexual.
