Seen on a FB group about reusable sanitary products, now renamed Sustainable Menstruators.

Admin is explaining how she has made the group more inclusive with the use of Menstruators, even if "not all menstruators bleed and not all menstruators menstruate."

I can't keep up. What the biscuit is a Menstruator when it's at home?

I thought the menstruator was a machine or an app.😱

Women used to be reduced to "tits n ass" - no brain, heart or personality there.

Now we're to be reduced to things that you can't even see!

Why are we continually being reduced? Why is it being allowed?

I am a woman, like my mother, my grandmother's and all the other amazing women I am descended from. This is not a heritage I am prepared to lose.

@Lovelyricepudding It was quite clearly a joke about her not having a heart. As in empathy, not the actual organ that pumps blood as that would quite clearly be ridiculous. A bit like conflating a lame bit of satire with TRAs.

And FWIW I absolutely do believe that Pritti Patel's AND her policies lack "heart" but that's not the issue here. I'm glad she's been consigned to the back benches. Just a shame that the quality of people that have replaced her is also so low.

The group is clearly trying to be inclusive of vampire victims. They still menstruate but good ol' Dracula has taken all their blood.

18 years ago I worked in a space with human bodies and no one used the term menstruator.

People with menstrual power was me paraphrasing 😂 I definitely Italy don't feel powerful when menstruating but perhaps it does actually give me a power that others want?

Am actually unable to cope with all the part-possessing period powers (let alone idea of people just being along for the ride in the group in a way that doesn’t sound like Being Source Of Support & Info For Single Fathers) so just wanted to suggest ModiBodi RED for your daughter @MauisLeftNipple - they start at age 8-10 & are super comfy & soft. They’re expensive, but worth it. (Think the 8-10 is probably true to size, I wear the age 10-12, which is my usual size [well, most places do 11-12, but…] & they’re true to that. Oh & they let you try them for 30 days to see if they’re right for you so checking sizing/fit/feel is possible without ending up with a mountain of unsuitable knickers & a huge hole in your finances.) They do a bikini brief & a short style & there are a range of absorbencies, up to 24 hours. (Or not, if you flood, but for people whose periods are rather more orderly…)
