That someone discovered that the same person tweeted the same lie was last year is remarkable. Who would have thought Humpty that anyone could be so stupid.

Once again, compare the shocking and misplaced authority with which this person speaks - knowing full well she is spreading a bare-faced, elaborate lie, a conspiracy theory designed to deceive and defame - and the contempt in which they hold the women who calmly and rationally hold them to account. It's insane, and vindictive, and all power to JKR.

I only hope the follow up also circulating, in which this person witters on about good and evil is also a fake, as it's hard to believe anyone would be that stupid.

Yes, apparently if you're wealthy, then it's fine for people to tell malicious lies about you - and if you try and stop them, then you're exercising your power against poor, marginalised individuals who have done nothing worse than to spread hate on Twitter.

Some of the responses on Twitter are sickening, and full of more lies (the old one about JKR picking the pseudonym of a homophobe gets another airing). But we have to remind ourselves that these people are just a nasty, spiteful minority. The Ink Black Heart is already zipping up the Amazon charts (number 5 at the time of looking), and if you look at the "Most read" chart showing Kindle Unlimited downloads, the first six are all Harry Potter books:

I clocked that, as I note they now consider the first Galbraith 'infamous' in his doings despite being utterly unknown until this tedious non-link was first thrown in the mix.

Goes to show how another conspiracy theory has grown simply by virtue of that prefix catching on.

It was complicated.... I believe it was Owens non binary partner (female) who got caught sharing a cubicle with another person (sex unknown) in the blokes and then got thrown out.
After much screaming about transphobia, it looked like this was much more standard naughtiness and Owens gf had been telling porkies.
Completely unrelated Owen then resigned as mayor of bangor (mayors are meant to support local business). They also seem to have split from theys gf and have moved onwards to new pursuits back in England. No apology to the club, obvs.

Dishonesty is the biggest hallmark of this side of the 'debate'. It's possible to be honest and discuss the whole issue, but you wouldn't know it from the exhausting lies told all the time.

Whatever social media my teens are reading is full of "jk has written a 1000 page rant about someone being cancelled" this morning. That's what son said, anyway. I declined to get involved, too much shouting last time (from him not me!)

Might be a good opportunity to hear out what their strategies are for determining whether something is true or not...

I'm going to buy the book and invite him to read it and see what he thinks.
