I also saw a man in the women’s loos yesterday - first time ever. And challenged him, along with my daughter. He was about to back down and leave until a third woman arrived, and told him to carry on (despite clearly seeing a male, as she kept calling him ‘he’). She then called me ‘a disgusting human being’.
I am now more determined to call out men any time I see them cross women’s boundaries. I may not be able to stop them, I may get thrown out, but I will let them know I object to their presence.

@DrDinosaur Was this another man confused about where he should take a young girl to the restroom or was he in there alone?

OhSusannah · 22/08/2022 23:51

@DrDinosaur more bloody handmaids kowtowing. I feel the same as you. I will not keep quiet.

Respect to you and your daughter, DrDinosaur.

Men's female handmaidens are certainly a problem; but then again, that's how lots of girls and women are raised. I certainly was. Put men first, always

Took a lightbulb moment, a peaking.

Musomama1 · 23/08/2022 07:44

I think women need to call out handmaidens too in that instance.

I wouldn't be too sure what to say though. Something like 'this is a single sex space, you're entitled to your opinion but you don't speak for the majority of women & girls who feel uncomfortable sharing this space with males.'

Musomama1 · 23/08/2022 07:46

I think a couple of my good friends are handmaideny, and yet feminist on other issues. I'm sure it's a case of mountain climbing yet to happen.

Artichokeleaves · 23/08/2022 09:21

It's usually one straight forward question.

"What do you plan to do with the female people who now can't use any space so the male people can take their preferred choice from all the spaces?"

You then work through the answers:

  1. This doesn't happen.

Response: Provide the evidence.

  1. Well those females need to get over their trauma/disability/abandon on the spot their faith, culture, family and roots on the spot because nasty religion I don't agree with and share in personally so have no respect for in a rather unpleasant racist/colonial/white supremacist kind of a way

Response: Are you expecting the male people to get over their trauma in using male spaces? Or in fact to get over or tolerate anything at all? No? I wonder why your unequal sex based expectations here?

  1. Privilege!!

Response: So females should suffer through some kind of political thought of original sin? You are happy that the sex class of female should be disadvantaged and some females excluded (most of them from vulnerable groups) so that this small group of male people can have everything they want?

So in fact you're seeing this in an entirely sex based way, where there are two sex classes and the one has a birth right of being the priority and the birth right of the other is to sacrifice and care for the other? How is this not sexist as fuck? How can you go on pretending to believe that these male people are anything but male since your actions are screaming that you believe in fixed sex classes and everyone operating on the basis of them?

Why can there not be answers that work for everyone instead of male people get exactly what they want at the expense of female people with very unequal sexist standards of care and consideration? Why can male people not be expected to compromise and have some reciprocal care and respect for female inclusion and access? Is inclusion only for TQ+ male people?

At that point they tend to either start realising there are issues here, or they take the mask off and disintegrate into full blown zealotry which is usually unfortunately based in quite a lot of internalised misogyny in women, sexism, racism and homophobia which this agenda provides a naice fig leaf for the expression of.

Wellies54 · 23/08/2022 09:43

Exactly! There is no answer to this except the logical conclusion of upholding single sex spaces. But it doesn't suit the ideology so they close down all argument with claims of bigotry and transphobia which are totally exaggerated but very unpleasant to be on the receiving end.

Good post @Artichokeleaves if only there was a snappy way of putting it.

I posted this video on another thread too.
It is satirical, but to the point. I don’t think it has been posted here already.
The clips are not made up.
