I saw Pam Duncan Glancy did a video to encourage people to support the “ Trans Rights” demo on Monday in Edinburgh.
Wonder if Pam will bother to do the same for the women’s rally...
As she is on the committee at the GRC hearings this video has clearly demonstrated her bias, and I find that concerning to say the least.

She is interesting. I think she is fence sitting but she is bright and ambitious. And she MUST understand the issues about single sex spaces given her physical needs. I don’t know her circumstances or what sort of assistance she needs personally but she has done a lot of work for peope with disabilities so she must have a insight from that.

You would like so, but doing that video proves to me she hasn’t concerned the right of any woman, disabled or otherwise, to safety, privacy and dignity.
She didn’t have to do the video, she choose to do it.

Now that’s a woman who cares about women & doesn’t hold back Compassionate & strong woman, she is excellent advocate for women.

If trans rights do not conflict with women’s rights, as these MSPs claim to believe, then they should have no issue with joining the women’s demo.

They won’t, of course.

As a staunch unionist I would never vote SNP but on this one issue I must say Nicola has impressed me. I will raise a glass in her honour when reform of the GRA is passed!

Why would they do that when all the people on the demo oppose trans rights?

When you say "bias", you mean she has been open about supporting the reform? Surely you would expect a politician to be honest about their views on legislation?

I expect politicians who are part of a panel hearing evidence on any policy to hear all the view points & arguments & be open minded to every speaker.

It appears the PDC didn’t appear at the demo, maybe she realized it wasn’t appropriate...

Please enlighten us on what rights trans people do not have in the UK...

It’s going to be an interesting & excellent rally with strong, funny articulate women like Kate & Lisa speaking out.

It’d not a rally about or anti trans anything, @Hearach15 . It’s about women and the loss of our rights to single sex spaces which some of us wish to retain.

@Hearach15 Normally in a democracy when there are opposing sides to an issue there is a debate.

There has not been.

Ultimately, this is about women losing the right to have single sex spaces, and therefore lose their right to privacy, dignity, safety, and the right for religious and ethnic minority women to take part in public life. If there really wasn't a threat, we would not be seeing TIMs rape and assault women in their spaces. But we do. For me, one is enough.

As a feminist I do not believe the feelings of males are more important than the safety and dignity of women. TIMs have all the same rights as everyone else, they do not have the right to encroach on others. We do not owe males validation for their fantasies. Not at any risk.

The right to get a GRC without having to prove to bureaucrats in a cumbersome process that you're transgender.

It's about excluding trans women from women's spaces. Spaces they have been using for decades.

Just be honest.
